We bumbled into Florence after dark on New Year's eve and figured that we wouldn't find an open table in any of the restaurants. Walking along Bay Street, we came upon the Bay Street Grill where the posted menu looked reasonable and there was even an open table. There were a few families out for dinner on New Years Eve and also a large group. The most memorable thing about the whole place was a foursome sitting at the bar, which is adjacent to the tables. It seemed like one of the foursome let loose with a robust HA HA HA about every minute or so. Ugh. So we're not talking atmosphere here; well, at least nice atmosphere. My wife had chowder and Caesar salad, both of which were okay but nothing special. My grilled oysters were long on breading but otherwise okay. Fries were good. Service was good.

We stopped in for a late lunch and the restaurant was still fairly busy. Our server, Danae, was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. My husband thought the clam chowder bread bowl was excellent. I thought the burger was good albeit a tad bit overdone. The view was incredible.

Some of the reviewers here may think otherwise, but I absolutely adore the Firehouse's Deluxe Clam Chowder. Perhaps because of the way it's prepared out of tradition is the reason it scores low with some palates. I myself find it's fusion of ingredients very tasty and satisfying. Try a large bowl with the included garlic bread for a 10 spot and a cold draft of your liking. Best deal on the OC.

My daughter and I stopped in Florence for lunch and found Mo's to be convenient. We both wanted some fresh seafood and chowder. Our waiter, George, was attentive and made some great recommendations. I had the halibut fish and chips, my daughter the clam chowder and fish tacos. YUMMY! We also ordered bloody marys which were some of the best I have ever had! Spicy and thick! The fish was cooked perfectly (not something every seafood restaurant seems to know how to do) and the chowder was second only to my husband's family recipe! Casual, comfortable with good service. Would recommend to anyone looking for good food, lots of fresh seafood options, and a great meal!Thank you so much for the great rating and response! Talk about an inspiration. Here youve got this couple working their ass off to create this fantastic experience and they are doing it on their own and living the dream! We were visiting Florence for a couple of days and had lunch here. The food was very good and just the right proportion for us. We both had the "Philly Steak" sandwich. The staff was very courteous and attentive. Our table was in the patio in the rear of the restaurant and is covered. They also have sidewalk tables, but the sun was way to hot for us. The patio was perfect.

We just came back from the restaurant and had food eaten both at the Hukilau and also ordered takeout it was so good. We read the reviews about restaurants in the area we are camping in and this one caught our interest and it didnât disappoint! It has a family feeling and service was very professional and friendly.The sushi was excellent and for us original with mango strips on it, and fish and crab was delicious with good sized portions. The non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were also delicious as well. We would recommend this restaurant definitely.It was also dog friendly on their outside patio as we brought our dog along as well.

This restaurant is great, great food great service and perfect location. My family and i ate there on our first night we like the food so much we went there on our second and last night in Florence. We had the Steak, Chicken parm, burger and seafood dishes. everything tasted great. Well defintley go back when in Florence, OR.

I am very happy that i stumbled inside the Waterfront depot. It was packed but i was able to get a seat at the bar. There was a great display of home made gateaux and pies plus everyone was extremely hospitable. This always helps.The food menu was one of the sort where you dont know which dish NOT to take.I can only highly recommend this family run place and will hopefully come back again.
