I've been to many different self service restaurants but this one is by far the most impressive: the food variety is so broad! It ranges from traditional regional foods from every corner of Brazil (Sao Paulo cuisine, Minas Gerais, Northeast) to pasta, barbecue as well as Japanese! They usually have on the weekends a fixed-price all-you-can-eat formula, which suits most hungry people out there.
And it's comfortable even on the hot days (very common in this region of the country all year round), since the restaurant has lots of room and it's well ventilated and cooled down by some sprinkling fans spread out.
I recommend you trying out this restaurant, bring your family and you'll be pleasantly amazed!

I went once to this restaurant and I loved it! It's located along the highway just at one of the entrances of the town, which is very convenient. The price is reasonable, the food is very tasty and well varied -- the house specialty is the Minas Gerais food (one of the best cuisines in the country).
If you are hungry and like to taste good food I recommend stopping by (especially in a cold day, to savour a hot, rich meal)! Try the feijoada with farofa and some sausages, you'll certainly love it!

Amei a comida, cerveja gelada, suco surpresa (caju com limão), fantástico. Agora o Baião de Dois, estava uma delícia, bem farto e coberto com carne seca, linguiça e pimenta biquinho. O proprietário de uma simpatia e gentileza que aconchegam.

I just wrote a really long review and then I lost it....so here is a brief one. Try the "abóbora com coco" (pumpkin with coconut). They offer to coat it in butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar, do it. It is amazing.

Restaurante simples de antiga tradição.
Comida super farta e de boa qualidade.Local limpo e agradável , atendimento bom.
Escolhemos vários pratos e todos sairão saborosos. Bebidas no ponto, também se não todas as indicadas no cardápio eram disponíveis.

A churrascaria está localizada na principal saída de Resende (sentido RJ). Fácil acesso para quem está de passsagem pela Dutra na região de Resende.
O rodízio de carnes é intenso (não há carnes exóticas) mas oferecem a "picanha mineira" (queijinho mussarela), o buffet de saladas melhorou bem em relação a última vez que estive aqui. Polentinha frita estava muito boa (sequinha).
Os garçons são atenciosos, o preço é justo.
O ambiente interno é agradável para um bate papo entre amigos e, há uma área externa para quem quiser fazer um lanche na lanchonete.
Poderia haver como em outras churrascarias a opção de massas.
Há estacionamento ao lado do estabelecimento.

We have visited Peixe Boi numerous times over the last few years, and we always have a positive experience. Staff in general does not speak much English (if any), but they are attentive, friendly, and sympathetic to our poor attempts at Portuguese. The food is generally good, with some dishes (Pirarucu for instance) bordering on excellent. Essentially, this is the traditional southeastern Brazilian fare-- rice, leafy veggies, and choice of entree. If you find yourself in Resende, this is one of the better choices available in Campos Eliseos neighborhood. However, don't make a special trip from Rio or even Volta Redonda.

Essa pizzaria deveria trocar de nome pois ofende o nome de Florença, cidade italiana com excelentes pizzas e massas. Mil vezes péssimo, massa seca, os toppings da pizza não aderem à massa/queijo. Pior pizza que já comi

Apesar de um pouco afastado do centro e em um bairro um pouco mais distante, o restaurante surpreende pelo sabor apurado, bom atendimento e variedade. Foi uma grata surpresa almoçar neste restaurante! Limpo, bom atendimento e organizado. Almocei no sabádo uma feijoada maravilhosa que super indico!

Affordable, fast and healthy food. I've been their customer for years. Very local. Try the freshly squeezed orange juice. On Mondays they serve a smoked trout dip on the salad buffet which is also a must-try.
