A great pizza from a large stone oven with a nice fruity tomato sauce. Plenty of options, offers takeaway and Delivery, place was quite crowded for lunch time. Everytime i am in the region, i'll stop for pizza there, haven't been disappointed to far. Recommendation!

We went here with our family of 5 during a long walk. The food on the card looked promising and we had a healthy appetite. We had eye contact with the waitress several times, but nobody came serving us. How long should you wait? When after about 20 minutes people that came after us got their drinks and some food we decided that they probable did not want to serve us and left.

We went with friends. English restaurants in general could learn a lot from such as this one. Very clean, tidy and comfortable with charming decoration in the local vernacular and very good mood-lighting. Relatively inexpensive.
Staff were polite, welcoming and efficient. The dishes offered tended toward the (very) large and were plainly cooked. I chose a half-kilo schnitzel simply because I have never had one this big before and it was to be an experience. The resaurant's reputation is built on big portions. Served with chips and a token salad It was OK. No more, no less.
Looking back on my previous reviews I note that I normally only mention outstanding establishments. Outstandingly good and outstandingly bad. This is my first review of an establishment that I found to be average. I review it mainly because of the ambiance . Nice venue - average food. (To me, average doesn't mean bad. It means : average!) A very pleasant place to dine with friends but not exactly fine-dining.

We have just returned from five days in Hanenklee and found this place by chance first for just coffee then for some Goulash and finally a full meal on Christmas night. On every occasion the service was good and the meals were excellent and well priced. I thoroughly recommend it and would return again.

It is situated in the center of a really lovely village close to the lake and the forest. Food various, particular, fresh cook. And healthy. Wine really good quality. Espresso "illy" the best coffe in Italy! Try that.

We were directed here by Uwe, owner of the excellent Zellerfelder Steakhouse where we were staying, I was in the mood for fish which he didn't have on his menu. We found the place and were warmly welcomed and seated, Uwe had phoned to check their menu and made the reservation for us, and it was everything we'd hoped for, typically regional German, which is what we were after, excellent food and very pleasant service. No English spoken, though not a problem, how many English restaurants could provide a German speaker? We loved it all, if we ever pass that way again, we'll certainly pay them another visit.
