this place is our favourite on our way back from Algarve. We've been 3 times now for lunch and it was always best food for a very little price (you can share 1 dose) - expect lunch for 2 with wine and water ca. 15€
Lady waiter has been living in Switzerland for years and speaks (swiss) German....

It's a regular restaurant with simple and good food (good in quality and also cooked good), nice overall environment and banal unengaging table staff (maybe I was unlucky with the table staff that day, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...).
Went there after seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor, but I didn't find it worth the travel. Yes, it has good and simple food at a fair price, very simple atmosphere and the staff is effective (not really engaging, but they get the job done).
As for downsides, it has no typical desserts (in a local Alentejo restaurant that's a big negative for me) and no ATM (no credit/debit cards accepted).
Surely a nice and safe place to eat if you are already on Almodovar since there aren't many options there. Not worth traveling just to visit it.

No english spoken here, but I had my first pig cheeks ever and fell in love. My husband had gazpacho and it was delicious. If you are in the area, risk it and you will be rewarded.

We have been here last week sunday with a group of 27 people (on our 20 BMW motorbikes); on recommendation of another biker group (Harley Davidson). On trip we decided to stop at this little restaurant and were very pleased. The environment is similar to a country house. At times it seems that we have arrived at our grandparents' house.
A very friendly couple and very tasty food.
I will repeat and advise.

This bakery is in the centre of the village. Easy to locate and there's even an outside area where you can sit, enjoy the afternoon and have a cake and coffee.Their apple custard cakes were divine! Do yourself a favour and have two.

Nunca lá comi mal. Às vezes bem, outras vezes muito bem. Os pratos do dia são variados e sempre bem confecionados, tipicamente portugueses ou alentejanos, em quantidade e qualidade acima da média.
Os preços são em conta e o serviço simpático.
O único ponto menos positivo, e é pessoal, passa pela decoração e ambiente.
Com uma sala mais rústica e típica, parecia que estavamos a comer em casa da avó.
