Reviewed By cameroncusterPros -valet is very accommodating and quick -front desk is professional -hotel housekeeping is reliable and efficient -Spa and their staff are incredible - the massages and facials were excellent -every restaurant is spot on with great food and great service -close to delicious off site restaurants on Seawall BLVD Cons -pool staff is lax, the adult-only spaces are filled with kids and the pool staff walked thru the pavilions and said nothing and made the adults miserable with the kids running around -pool bar had one person behind the bar to serve customers, which slowed down service -great hotel, suite interior could use a facelift -bathrooms are small, no soaker tubs, -Note: you have to request your room be cleaned at no extra cost and they will clean it at the time you request -Do not rent a cabana, the large ones are $700 and the small ones are $600 with no amenities, no ice water, no fruit baskets, no cold towels, nothing other than a room with an ice box

Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff, nicely furnished room with quality linens and bathroom supplies, easy check in/check out and a decent restaurant. If we're ever stuck at DFW again we wouldn't hesitate to make this our first choice for accommodation.

Great location and easy beach access behind the hotel.. room was awesome, spacious and king size bed was very comfortable, I loved the patio in our backyard, breakfast had quite the options which was a bonus! Overall I loved my stayed everything was spectacular!

Amazing Hotel, maybe not for four year olds
Reviewed By LisatedjThis hotel is beautiful with interesting history. We really enjoyed our stay. However, the only door guests are allowed to use is a revolving door, and they kept telling us to go through one at a time so it didn't slow down. However, when my four year old went in by herself, she didn't want to exit. So, there were issues, and we are NOT the kind who let our kids run wild. One of the staff was quite upset: "WHOSE CHILD IS THIS?!" Seriously, let us use the regular door just beside it, and they wouldn't have a problem. Or don't get grumpy about us holding our daughter's hand and slowing it down, and not going one at a time. The rooms were nice, but SMALL. probably the smallest rooms I've ever had. And the shower is short. My 6 foot husband had trouble. It was fine for me, at 5'6". The ice machine worked great, but the cold water despenser on the ice machine wasn't working most of the time. There is a cross walk right outside the hotel, which is nice because the street is pretty busy. The Beach in front of the hotel was not as busy as other sections. From our photos you'd think we were the only ones there. The pool is nice. If you want adjoining rooms, call ahead, don't just put it in the comments and expect them to read it.

Why can’t you talk to someone on property?
Reviewed By 225shawnarWe stayed for three nights. We enjoyed it, but there were some issues with getting things charged to our room. In addition, the server at the spa pool closed mine and my three friends’ tabs and automatically added 15% gratuity without attempting to close the tab with us. We were there the entire time and were never approached after being served our food. Pretty presumptuous as we all probably would have tipped more. I now have questions about some of the charges on our credit card and cannot get itemized bills emailed to me. I have called the customer service line 4 times with all 4 reps confirming that they will be sent to my email. Each time I call back after not receiving the emails, they confirm that it was sent to the same wrong email address (even after I correct them each time I call). I would love to talk to a manager on site and get this straightened out, but I cannot find a phone number or email anywhere. Anyone have a direct contact number?

Reviewed By tylergT158TLMy husband, fur baby and myself stayed three nights and it was amazing. We were greeted by professional, friendly front desk staff. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. I especially enjoyed the large canvas photos of the USS Lexington and the Marina in our room. The breakfast on the 11th floor was top notch! It was not only delicious but operated by a class act crew. Everything was on point each morning. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel over any restaurant we ate at for dinner. We're already looking forward to next year!

Reviewed By Voyager49694901081First 2 days no hot water, no towels available ever, son and husband got stuck in broken elevator, pool was beyond dirty, water looked beige and had chunks and chunks of hair i requested for it to be cleaned 3 times but it never got cleaned, last day the water was completely shut off at 10 am. We have stayed here for years and noticed a decrease in the maintenance of property but this time it was just too much......will not stay here again, unfortunately because it was our go to hotel for years.
