Not Worth the Money

So, we’re here now 5/29/2022. The property is great and the beach atmosphere/jibe is very fun. Lots of fun entertainment via music or kid’s games to keep everyone amused. Based on what you pay for a room I’d rate them a 5. This is a great resort for all RED NECKS. They have a full size frig in your room for all your food. They allow coolers and carry bags of food at the pool. I was told that any activity at the pool by adults and kids is OK as long as you don’t dive in or jump in on someone. Throwing footballs, tennis, nerf and water type balls in the pool are a CONSANT approved splash or impacted hazard to everyone. The food and drinks are all AWESOME but the service can be terrible. Service throughout the entire food and beverage staff is VERY slow and you’re treated like you’re just another stupid tourist they’ll never see again. Once you order, you’re at their mercy. No matter what you’re told or what you see there is NO regular food or beverage service around the pool. Though the rules read no outside food or beverages allowed around the pool that’s a LIE, therefore, rule abiding paying customers are overlooked. We were told they simply only walk around the pool when they aren’t busy somewhere else. On more than one occasion they took our order but never returned. We saw one of them later and they apologized and explained to us that they are told to do that. This happened several times. Food and beverage prices are extravagant here. Go on line and check out the menu of each restaurant. LOL the breakfast buffet is like $44.00 a person. Acholic drinks are all $15 plus. Most meals and just a few drinks during the day will cost you well over $100.00 a day each. Do the math 3 meals and drinks will cost you a minimum of around $400.00 a day. Be sure and put that in your budget before you book a room here. Soooo, with the full size frig in your room don’t ever buy any food or drinks from the hotel. This is a top 10 place to stock up the full-size refrigerator in your room and hang out with a bunch of rednecks around a pool. Not that anyone who stays here more once would need to know but they don’t even offer valet or concierge service.

FANTASTIC Bar and Recreation Services

Reviewed By annesham3

THE GOOD: I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about the hospitality and service from the bar staff. Dayna, Luke, Tracy and Lauryns were AMAZING...nothing short. Always friendly and welcoming and great with area recommendations. The pool staff of Madison and Hannah were so friendly too. Happy to help us with anything we needed or suggestions we wanted for our trip. The games and recreation provided over our stay by Wyatt at the pool were great too. They were all incredibly welcoming and just a ton of fun to hang out with. Felt like friends you had known forever! Seriously made our trip! THE BAD: The breakfast service was terribly lacking. We had the buffet every morning, and we consistently sat for 15-20 minutes every morning before we were even greeted. Getting drinks and flatware was painful. It didn't seem to be a situation of under staffing most mornings - just not very hospitable and service focused. The housecleaning and room cleanliness were also lacking and unbelievably inconsistent. The front desk wasn't incredibly motivated to help either. They did listen and were polite. But no action unlike Jerome and Scott in food and beverage who continued to check in to see if things were improving. The staff of Flip Flops and Pelican's seriously took what could have been a really miserable trip given the challenges in certain areas of the hotel and gave us an experience that we can look back on fondly. Kudos to the fun and professionalism that they brought every day to their jobs...your guests appreciated your efforts! This property is lucky to have you!

"Hot" tub was tepid

Reviewed By 375neerk

The rooms are decent enough and mostly clean, the view is AMAZING, it's really ON the beach. But, if like us, you are looking for a hotel with a HOT tub, this one was NOT hot, it was barely warm. When we asked an employee if the heat can be raised he replied they cannot because other guests do not follow the rules and allow their young children in the hot tub and he cannot be responsible for potentially harming a child. WHAT the whaaa?! So, rather than finding a way to ENFORCE the rules (which are started clearly enough on a sign and are quite standard rules for all hot tubs and pools) they would rather allow paying guests be disappointed, we chose THIS hotel over others in the area BECAUSE they have a hot tub.

It’s okay

Reviewed By jorettalong

Customer service is great, free breakfast, but very long lines, free parking, but very few spaces. They are renovating I think, so there’s lots of old furniture and stuff on the property. Also, the rooms are cleaned just enough to sleep one night. I wouldn’t stay longer. The outside is nice— especially the pool area. There’s lots of huge water bugs outside, so beware!! Lol overall, it’s pretty cool. I’d stay again when prices aren’t so high.

Well let me start by saying it took us 25 mins to find parking on Saturday check in day. Next no hot water cool water only. I booked a room with a hot tub because it was my husband Birthday the water very cold and some oily black stuff was coming out. And last someone entered our room with a key while we were sleeping, but the thingy prevented the door from opening all the way. One of the house keepers name Anthena had the best customer service. She get a 5 star!

Worst hotel stay ever!!! Not safe!

Reviewed By 65RachelS

This was our second stay at this hotel. Last year we stayed, and there were a couple issues, but nothing horrible. This stay was a disaster from the moment we checked in. Our biggest issue, is that we were told to leave the night before our checkout date. At 4p, a man opened our door without knocking, and my husband stopped him. He stated that we were supposed to checkout at 11a. My husband calmly explained that we do not check out til the next day. I had left to get dinner, and he told him that I would be down to discuss when I returned. I went to the desk to be told by the housekeeping manager, that her "My paper show you checkout at 11!" The desk clerk refused to say anything. I showed her my reservation, and she said that it was for another room. I asked her what that meant, and all she could do was shake her head and shrug. At this point, we had no idea what to do. We had been there for 3 nights, and were suppose to stay the 4th. No one would tell me anything. We eventually made the decision to leave, which left us with no where to stay, so we were forced to make an 8 hour drive home in the middle of the night. I have made a formal complaint with Wyndham, but was told that I would receive an email within a week. I have yet to receive any info, except my reservation showed as canceled the day after the reservation day, and no one can tell me who or why it was canceled. No money or Wyndham points have been refunded at this time. Other issues, were that the first room was not even the room we were suppose to have. We were lied to and were told that if we switched, we would have to wait as no other room was available. We agreed and were handed the key to another room immediately. We got to the room, and there were 2 towels for 5 people. When we asked for more towels, we were told that we had to turn in the dirty towels before we received any more. I went back to the desk myself, and this time I was given towels. Every single day this was the same battle. The pool closed at 9p every night which is ridiculous in the middle of the summer. The lights were shot on the starewells, and there were no lights in the pool. The electrical outlet were falling out of the wall, and it was a fight trying to get phones and electronics charged. The appliances were all rusted and nasty. I would not advise anyone stay at this hotel as everyone is rude and had an attitude about anything that went on. Never once did I feel welcomed at this hotel. We feel like we were treated more like prisoners than guests.

Kitchen and bathroom Floors are not cleaned properly and the carpet has filth on it. Asthma and allergy folks need to stay away. This place is poorly managed. You may as well sleep on dirt outside because that is what you get here. A dirty room.

Old Motel

This motel is very outdated. The bathroom shower was all cracked and had old stains in it. They only gave a few towels and were reluctant to give me more. They only gave me a partial roll of toilet paper. When I asked for another ice bucket so I didn’t have to climb four flights of stairs twice, they said “each room only gets one”. Upon reserving a room they absolutely did not tell me there was no elevator, so beware. Also, they said they were gonna clean the room, but they never did …. they only gave a few new towels. Absolutely AWFUL!!!

Reviewed By bbU7120QH

I booked my $1,300.00 5 night vacation for myself, my daughter, and our dog -mostly due to the property being listed as 'pet friendly'. We drove 7 1/2 - 8 hours and when we arrived, the so-called Seahaven Hotel was literally half torn down with construction barrels and fences blocking off the entire property! There was a huge construction dumpster in the front of the building by the office, and a small handmade sign saying "check in at The reef ⬅️". So, I drove a few doors down to the Reef Motel. I was informed that this is where we were actually supposed to stay since the Seahaven was under construction. The Reef was run down, musty, mattresses hard as a rock, absolutely nothing similar to the pictures of the Hotel I paid $1,300 for! As I was walking on the floor of our assigned room, just before we reached the door, a woman yelled at us from the parking lot telling us we "cannot have a dog on that property and we are not able to stay in their motel with a pet, that they are not pet friendly". I informed her that I was supposed to be staying at the Seahaven, which was basically non-existent, and that I had the itinerary clearly showing that I booked a pet friendly hotel. She basically told me I was out of luck. After resting my eyes for 2 hours in the musty room, I left with my family and had to go pay just over $800 more for a different Hotel in the area. Now this rundown hotel along with booking.com are refusing to refund my money, giving me several unacceptable and ridiculous excuses and reasons why I can't be refunded my $1,300 that they stole from me. I am still in the process of trying to get the money that is rightfully owed to me. I do NOT recommend Seahaven Hotel, or booking.com for that matter.
