Our expensive stay

We have been staying at this hotel for years now. When covid started it was practically closed so only that time we stayed somewhere else. Last year we could forgive bad everything as it was return from covid! This year however hard to forgive bad food. The staff was amazing but food the worst and the prices for a room have been hiked up something ridiculous. We will never go there again and will not recommend either.

Very Underwhelmed

Reviewed By Sc0415

We were very underwhelmed with this hotel. The photos do not match the reality of these hotel rooms in the slightest. The rooms are in dire need of maintenance upkeep and updating. There is no housekeeping at all due to Covid restrictions. We were asked to place all used towels and trash in the hallway for housekeeping to pick up. Imagine just checking in and walking down the hall to piles and piles of used, wet towels outside each door down the long hallway. That is what we arrived to and it was quite unpleasant. The beds/pillows were highly uncomfortable. My husband and I woke up each morning with a sore back from the poor mattress. Again, another area that could definitely benefit from some updating. I will say the pool area was very nice and our kids enjoyed it. Until a huge group of unruly children arrived that had no adult supervision inside where the water slide was. They were screaming and all piled in the small designated area where the slide exit was. The children would not listen to the pool monitor or security guard. Our children actually asked to leave because it was so chaotic. As much as we liked the pool area we will not return due to the poor condition of the hotel.

Horrible

The women at the front desk were friendly. The general manager was a complete nightmare from the very beginning. We were there for a baseball tournament and she said from the very beginning she did not like it when baseball teams stay there because they are all rude and disruptive. She complained the first night making up stories about our boys jumping on boats at the marina down the hill which was a total lie. We got back from the ballpark Saturday evening just before 10pm and were only there for about 30 minutes when she said she had complaints that we were being too loud and we either needed to leave or go in our rooms. Mind you, there were several people out in the upper parking lot smoking Marijuana and that was not a problem or a disturbance. Neither were the people driving up and down from the hotel to the bar down the road with their music blaring and them screeching their tires. There were also people on the floor above us screaming and yelling and doing God knows what. When some of the parents brought this up to the general manager and the fact that it was Saturday night at the lake at 10pm, she called the police and kicked out two of the families. She was going to kick all of us out, but fortunately one of the parents was able to explain to her that some people had already returned to their rooms when she asked and some were not even outside when all of this happened. They signed a contract with the ballpark to be a stay and play hotel and clearly should not have. Worst experience ever

So-So

The King suite itself was ok- couch a little overused and outdated- the bed was great king sized. the bathroom was awesome with a separate shower and tub and a closed door toilet area- but had a tv that was broken. Tvs are not smart and if they were- there was no access to stream from your phone. The lampshades had some type of dried up liquid on them. No room service- No concierge available when I arrived. Information and maps are outdated. The pool closes at 8pm during the week and 9pm on the weekend- The sun hasn't even set- and those were the "new" hours. The pool was an alright size- 4ft deep throughout - Im sure due to the drinking hazards. All of this- and they still charge $11 for some type of service out of the $50 deposit. I booked through hotwire- added an extra day- and I basically had to beg the front desk clerk Kacey to be allowed to stay in the same room. SMH-. The stay was pretty mediocre for the prices charged. I paid close to $600 for two nights got this type of experience. Don't think I'd be paying to stay there anymore.
