We absolutely loved our week holiday at this lovely hotel . We travelled the end of May as a family of 5 . We emailed ahead to request an inter-connecting room and received just that . We arrived at the hotel approx 12.30pm expecting to have to wait for our room but it was ready for us. Check in was fast . Welcome drink was much appreciated . Rooms were spacious , immaculately clean and plenty of storage. A little dated yes but it didn't bother us one bit. The food at this hotel was spot on . Varied, plentiful and very tasty . We were never left hungry . The kids absolutely loved the pools and slides and the activities taking place at them . The entertainment team at this resort were fantastic !! ? Shout out to Lucas, Vini, Shirley , Anna (to name but a few). These guys work so hard to make your stay here enjoyable. From cocktail making beside the pool, keeping the kids entertained, aqua aerobics ,evening entertainment.... these guys did it all and put so much energy into it. We don't tend to go back to the same hotel twice but if we did , we would definitely consider returning here .

Five star in facilities BUT is this a truly five star experience?

Reviewed By TRAVELBENUK

Just returned from a week away here and I'm going to try and be as balanced as I possibly can in my review. I'm also going to add as we are still in and coming out of a pandemic anything negative will always have that caveat around it. Firstly the positives: 1/ The hotel is well located on the beach front and just a short ride from the airport. 2/ There's a decent enough shopping centre just a few minutes walk away featuring quality shops rather than tourist tack style shops. There's also a large supermarket within should you need it. 3/ The hotel is a huge complex but easy to navigate and is also spotlessly clean. 4/ Staff are in the main very helpful and accommodating. Tom and Micaela from guest services are fantastic and I also found Betty on reception to be great. Make an effort to speak to them should you have any issues. 5/ The spa and services offered are great. 6/ If you have children the kids club is brilliant and offers a lot for kids to do and be entertained should you need it. One day is allocated for the pool area to be a family fun day and whilst can be a bit noisy it was brilliant fun with a huge blow up water slide, foam party and games. 7/ There's a mini golf course within the grounds of the hotel 8/ There's a well maintained children's play area 9/ There's courts for various games available 10/ Fantastic games room 11/ Pool area is great with plenty of room around and beds So based on the above (and there's plenty more going on I haven't noted) you are without question heading into a hotel offering five star facilities BUT here's where we head to the unfortunate negatives: 1/ The main restaurant - this is where you will have breakfast, lunch (if full board) and dinner (if half board). Whilst the food selection and quality is brilliant the food which is all out on display buffet style attracts flies and a LOT of flies. They were over everything and anything and the staff didn't do a thing. I really had to complain along with other guests for them to do something. ZERO initiative without us all complaining. They decided to put the large ceiling fans on and burn coffee beans which actually made a difference BUT within a couple of days the initiative to keep burning the coffee beans fell apart. The situation was actually revolting and something we ended up having to just put up with as best as possible BUT it seriously needs addressing going forward. 2/ We went to use the Japanese restaurant on the first night owing to the fly situation in the main restaurant and that was a disaster. Completely mismanaged. We sat down and eventually had to get our own menus, one table said they waited an hour before they got food, the table next to us offered some of their food to another table because they had been waiting so long. Eventually we just lost the will to stay and walked out. 3/ The pool area restaurant - this is open during the day for lunch, light snacks and drinks. At some points this was completely understaffed with vacated tables of food just being left and not cleaned up so the birds sit there eating away at it. The quality of the food also ranged from reasonable to dire. 4/ The servicing of our bedroom was hit and miss. On one day despite being out the room from around 10.30am and not returning till 7.00pm the room wasn't touched. They had clearly forgotten! Generally whilst clean there were often towels missing and they didn't always replace the toiletries. When you book and stay at a five star Sheraton you pretty much know what to expect and what you are getting. I have never had an issue in one before. This Sheraton however, just didn't quite hit the mark. It was five star in facilities for sure but in terms of experience we felt slightly deflated - just didn't quite have that five star feeling. The biggest issue was knowing you were heading into a restaurant every time of flies covering your food - situation really became unpleasant and a downer. Should you decide to use this hotel you will in the main have a pleasant experience and you'll note there's a vast amount of positive reviews. For us though the one visit was enough and we have no plans to return.

Perfect stay! ?

We are very pleased with this stay. The hotel was great, the rooms clean and the buffet varied. (Dudoh was perfect with us?) The staff was very welcoming and especially Néstor, a receptionist very available and attentive. We also had a good animation team, like Marcel, a very dynamic and always smiling animator, we recommend you his activities, we had a great time! ? The only problem of the hotel is that there is not necessarily a customer parking, which is not good for a 4 stars hotel. This hotel is also very good for children, there are many activities and space for them.

Pierre & Vacances Resort Fuerteventura Origo Mare

Discover the Fuerteventura Origo Mare resort, in the north of the second largest island of the Canary Islands. If it had to be summed up in two words, they would be water and fire. Water, of course, for its 150 km of beaches, but also for its vast aquatic space. Fire for its volcanic landscape, the sun that shines almost all year round, the warmth of the atmosphere and the large number of activities. Fuerteventura, declared a biosphere reserve, has a unique natural environment with its own personality, between land and craters, sky and sea. Our resort is located in this protected environment, a paradise specially designed for holidays. The resort is divided into 5 zones, made up of villas with suites and studios. There are endless activities to do in and around the resort. Sports facilities include tennis and paddle tennis courts, a boules court and an 18-hole mini golf course. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing and many other activities are available at the Yolo Riders surf school. And those who prefer fresh water will have a great time at the Craterpark. This volcanic-themed aquatic area of 5000 m², of which 1000 m² are water areas, has it all: wave pool, slides, water tree and paddling pool. In addition, our heated pool reserved for adults is a haven of peace and quiet. The little ones can make friends and have fun in our clubs for children from 4 to 17 years old. It should also be noted that, for your convenience, the resort has two restaurants, two snack bars and a bar open all day long.

Lovely resort with fun pools.

Excellent place to stay and superb for kids with a great splash park. This resort is on its own in the north of the island so it’s quite remote and I’ve seen people score the resort low for this but there is a free bus to Corralejo that you can book onto and also a nice beach. A taxi to Corralejo costs around €24 each way. We stayed in a superior 2 bedroom villa and it was well maintained with lots of home amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine and iron. The property also had full air conditioning which made sleeping comfortable. The paths around the resort are indeed in need of some TLC but again it’s not something that you can mark the place down for (unless you go on holiday to look at paths). The all inclusive was what you would expect with a decent amount of choice and the drinks were local but you can pay for premium branded spirits and cocktails if you wish. Overall it was a good weeks holiday and we would definitely use the resort again in the future.

Amazing views

Reviewed By Erika B

We are spending our last day here before going to Corralejo. We are staying in the junior suite with a huge balcony, 2 sunloungers, beautiful views of the sea. The service was very good from the start, check in quick and easy. The cleaning service is also great throughout the hotel. The first night we had dinner in the privilege restaurant. Unfortunately the food was not great ( in my case it was inedible baked seabass) so we decided to abandon dinner and use the main restaurant instead. The buffet breakfast and dinner was always very good, we always found something nice to eat, therefore we never used the privilege restaurant again. We went half board, during the day we explored the surrounding beaches, therefore we didn't need lunch. I would highly recommend to visit Morro Jable if you have a rental car. There is a privilege lounge from 9am to 9pm where there are snacks and drinks available throughout the day. The room was amazing, however the A/C is not very effective (to say the least) and we found that this was in issue in the whole complex. We used the gym every day, where there is no A/C at all. The hotel has access to a small beach, which is great, and the pool is also good. We didn't use the spa, as it was too warm. The evening entertainment was good. Costa calma and Sotavento beach is very close. There are shops and pharmacy close by in case you need anything. I would definitely stay here again, however the A/C needs to be improved.

What a dump

Pool and pool bar, along with on site supermarket are all that this dump has going for it. Staff in main reception are unbearably rude. We stayed 7 nights and had to empty our own bins. After day 3 I went to reception and asked for our room to be cleaned and was told it wasn’t been cleaned until day 4. I said we have no clean towns and need them changed plus our bins need changing. I had to pay for towel’s €10 for 4. Whilst out and about next day the room was finally cleaned and the towels I paid fro previous day were also gone. Location is great, gym is utter crap and you also have to pay €4 for the privilege of using it, windows don’t open, there is no aircon, machines are broke so it’s well worth the €4 per adult! Wouldn’t recommend a dog to lay down here for the night if I’m honest

Fantastic hotel, staff, food, amenities, room & location

Reviewed By markcW2825GB

Second stay at this excellent hotel. Friendly welcome with a glass of sparkling wine, and although late arriving (11pm) they laid on a light meal in the restaurant for me and my son and two other late arrivals off the Tui bus. Although the room had been made up as a double (despite emailing Lena in advance for a twin!!!) the room service quickly attended to the room and rearranged things. We had a lovely part sea view from our balcony overlooking the pool area. Tea/coffee and kettle in the room, and you could phone for top ups of milk cartons and teabags etc. or collect from reception. The 5 litre bottle of water for 3.5 Euros is excellent and convenient from the reception (saves walking two miles to the local Spar and lugging it back!). The three pools (one huge, two smaller ones on lower level) were excellent and cleaned every day. The gym is decent with dumbbell sets up to 14kg and several CV and resistance machines, plus aerobic mats, chilled water and free towels. All changing/toilet facilities are immaculate and on the check out day there is a courtesy changing area with showers and towels for use which was again immaculate and very useful so you can still have an active day whilst awaiting the bus pick up (ours was 4pm so had plenty to do whilst waiting). The poolside cafe/bar is well stocked (eg Carte D'Or ice cream selections (2.50EU for a single scoop cone), cappuccino/lattes (3.5 EU) etc, beer, cocktails, coke etc) and always friendly service - I can't remember the man's name on the large pool bar but he was top class and even offered up his own new cocktail for us to try (a fellow tourist gave it the name Royal Passion - give it a try!). The beaches are simply amazing and the sea swimming fab (I'm an open water swimmer so loved venturing out further than most). The hotel is right on the beach and no car traffic noise. In either direction you can have a fantastic beach stroll and within 20 minutes you have reached two huge sweeping beaches with lifeguards. Turning right out of the beach gate takes you to Morro Jable, a small resort town with enough amenities. The food is plentiful and always evening meals are different, plus wine or beer or soft drinks to order. Breakfast superb. We stayed half board and did not really need anything for lunch. Spotless hotel, excellent internet speed. Highly recommend for a relaxed, 'beach it' chill out experience.
