The pizza rolls at LSP are my absolute favorite. I would actually prefer a pizza roll from here, over a lot of normal pizza places throughout Marquette. It's not for the ingredients on the inside necessarily but for that home made pizza dough. It is so soft and fluffy, and it is great because although the cheese makes a small amount of grease when they are baked, the dough traps it all in the inside leaving the outside that perfect soft golden brown. The pepperoni is the best seller, and the one that they usually always have stock of if you go there on a whim. You can also special order different fillings and add whatever you want. Another great combination is just cheese and green pepper with no sauce. Staff seems to do anything they can to dissuade business. After starting to take an order for eight pizzas, all of a sudden, they "remembered" they do not participate in any of the national promotions, except for the disgusting $5 cheap pizza, unless you place order online. What? We have always been getting the promotions up until that day. Anyway, they let a $100-plus order walk out the door; plus, we will not be back. Guess they are making so much profit, they do not need the business.

They have really good pizza at a fairly reasonable price. My only wish is that they would have a thin crust option. Breadsticks are very good. I recommend the buttery garlic sauce. Yes, they deliver. No in store seating. Take out or delivery only.

Villa Capri Italian Cuisine

I went here after remembering it being a favorite from when I was in college some 30 years ago. It looked exactly the same. I got the lasagna. you can get just the lasagna, or you can make it a meal with soup, salad and garlic bread for about 8.00 more. I made it a meal, and enjoyed the salad very much. It was an antipasti salad with homemade Italian dressing, which was good. The minestrone soup was ok, but had kind of a strange flavor that I wasn't used to. The garlic bread is to die for! The lasagna was good, but not as thick and cheesy as I remembered. All in all, it was a good meal.

We really like Jet's, especially the thin crust. We've also tried their hand-tossed veggie pizza, which is a good competitor to Pizza Hut's veggie lover's pizza, and priced better. Their wings aren't bad, either. Whatever you do, look for their coupons. Mention your coupon when you phone in the order. Nice thing is, you can reuse them.

The Piedmont

Two years ago I wrote a glowing review of The Piedmont, and I'm sad to have to take that back. Service remains superb, but the food has spiraled downhill. On a visit in January 2018 three of the four eaters at our table were distinctly underwhelmed by our choices; one more try, in July 2018, with a different group of four produced the same result. Their pastas are still pretty good, but everything else -- well, the seasoning is too much or too little, the textures are too hard or too mushy, the things that used to be imaginative have become mundane. The restaurant is in a hotel; alas, it seems to have morphed into that dreaded zone of culinary boredom, the "hotel restaurant." I will return -- among other reasons, it can be hard to find a restaurant in Marquette on a Sunday night -- but with sadly chastened expectations.

The Casa has always been a favorite of mine. My husband and I ordered out off the appetizer menu. Meatballs, Italian sausage, a conbo that included a salad, meatballs, lasagna, garlic bread. We would definitely do that again! The food was packaged well and just as delicious as I have always remembered it.

It used to be great place. Stopped in tonight and the wait staff was great. Everything else was like " are we in the right place???" A hamburger came and it was so over cooked, there was a layer of blackened meat you could peel off like a sheet of black crud. It was returned and when it came back it was just way over cooked and kinda tiny. An italian sausage samdwich was prepared well but again, the portion was tiny ( like about a 1/4 inch thick. My wife had a taco salad which was just okay and the other spouse had a greek salad which also was just okay. We've liked this place for decades, so what's happening ! !
