Kinopalace, opened in May 1998, is the leader among the modern cinemas in Kyiv. The Kinopalace's auditorium is equipped with the Dolby Digital Surround EX sound system and the JBL acoustics as well as with a Perlux panoramic screen. On 31 October 2008, the Kinopalace reopened after a grandiose redesign, becoming Ukraine's first cinema equipped with the DP-2000 Dolby 3D kit, a digital "tapeless" projector produced by the Barco company. The auditorium has also been redesigned: now it features 122 comfortable seats and provides a perfect view from any point.
