Reviewed By D4544BKjohnnymIf traveling to Sacramento for business, this place is acceptable. However, if you are traveling for leisure, I hesitate to recommend it. This is at best a 2-star motel with malfunctioning appliances and poor housekeeping. We were highly disappointed to find a dead cockroach on the floor of our room when we checked in. Feeling disgusted, we asked for a new room. In the second room, half of the outlets did not work - -and therefore we could not turn on one of the bed lamps or use the refrigerator. We also found a blood stain in our bed sheet. We called the front desk to ask for new sheets, but they made me go up to the office to get it myself. When I went to the office, I was offered new sheets but I also found oil stains and lipstick smears on the new sets. These issues are deeply concerning and we already attempted to communicate it to management, but thus far, we have not received any response.

The help decided to clean the coffee pot in the middle of the breakfast time, leaving not coffee available. There were homeless in the area. Did not feel safe at all. Some one tried to enter our room one evening. We arrived back from visiting family and our key didn't work. We decided to check out early and told the desk clerk at breakfast. We were told as long as we informed him before noon we would not get charged the extra night. Guess what, we were. Now I am fighting the credit card company even tho we have a receipt. I will never stay in this filthy hotel again.

Reviewed By fairgirl59I was more than frustrated that as a Diamond member a smoking room (they tried to eliminate the smell) was assigned to me. I immediately went down and they changed the room. I was here for a week and was not offered an upgrade, which was also frustrating. Traveling in Europe, IHG membership is valued, and I always am upgraded w/o having to ask. I loved that there was daily room service. However, my coffee maker service was never replenished, and I had to go to the front desk every day. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation. I look forward to returning in a year and seeing all the changes. The breakfast crew is very nice. Even though breakfast is 6-9 even on the weekends (grrr.....), they stay open a little longer for families and those that are late.

I reserved a non smoking room and was placed in a horrible smoking room with a terrifying none working bathroom. When I had to shower the water wouldn’t go down fast enough so I had to shower in my dirty water. Disgusting! Unacceptable! There are nicer hotels for better pricing. The place is super run down and sketchy!

Terrible motel
Reviewed By bcnbrandon14Terrible room. Bugs in bed, burn marks on ceiling, weed smell through out. $200 deposit for $70 room. Not to be refunded for 7 business days, when I was Only there for 7 hours. The place was a garbage dump overall. Floors were ripped up, and the place was not clean.

Reviewed By ThatsNiceOkAVOID THIS DUMP! This place is an absolute joke. (it's NOT in Elk Grove, btw. It's in South Sac) This property is extremely loud and ghetto. The manager Rakash is unbelievably unprofessional and after speaking with him I can see why this establishment is ran so poorly. I checked in and specifically asked for a quiet room. The woman at the front desk must have given me the loudest room on their entire property, facing the street where I can hear traffic. I called and the front desk clerk Melini was extremely rude and unaccommodating. She stated that there aren't any other rooms available, which I found hard to believe since there weren't that many cars in the parking lot. Judging by how quickly she informed me they didn't have any other rooms, I highly doubt that she even bothered to look. When I arrived I was advised that they allow late checkout up to one hour (12 PM). I called the morning of my checkout and was informed by Alexis that it's an additional $30 if you want to checkout 1 hour late (12 PM)(something that wasn't disclosed to me beforehand). The way this place is ran is an absolute joke. I'll never stay at another Red Roof Inn again.

Reviewed By lblack186680The clerk was amazing and very accommodating. The room served its purpose for location given a 6am flight. However, I did not feel comfortable. The carpet was dirty, the walls dirty with peeling paint, curtains separating from the rod. Won't be back!!!! Not a pleasant experience.
