Reviewed By Shelly PThis was an excellent property. We were traveling with our two young grandsons. The rooms are lovely. Clean and modern. The staff is very polite and helpful. Ambrosia was a joy to work with upon arrival. They serve coffee all day. Also have a nice snack area. There are also places to eat within walking distance. Easy and close to the airport.

Reviewed By clin703547We had a good experience in family. Breakfast was good- in our last day they didn't replenish some items. The rooms are very clean, the price is good and the staff are nice!!! Great place for bed and breakfast.

Clean and quiet for reasonable price
Reviewed By Trvlrk8Stayed here for one night and my room was extremely clean and comfortable. Check-in was efficient -- not super-friendly but efficient. The person at the front desk was not wearing a mask, so if you're an immuno-compromised guest, that might be a deal-breaker. I lowered my "service" rating on that count. Room had small coffee-maker, refrigerator... no freezer, which would have been useful to re-freeze my cooler's ice-bottles. My room was pretty close to the street but once I closed the door it was quiet. Overall place was quite good.

It is a budget hotel so don’t expect luxurious items, but if you want clean, a very comfortable bed, a real coffee maker (that was the best), great water pressure, and a safe neighborhood, this is it. Pluses: walking distance to great markets (New Seasons and Fred Meyer), terrific coffee house (Arbor Lodge Roasters), directly across the street public transportation (get the Transit app and purchase a Hop pass across the street or get the Hop app), walking distance to quaint downtown, post office, and small restaurants, wonderful staff, insulated windows kept a below thirty degree weather at bay Minuses: WiFi didn’t always work on my phone but did on other devices - they worked hard to do all they could to make it work

We are 4 blocks from the Keller Auditorium, where they have musicals, operas, and concerts. Public transportation is within 2 blocks from us. We have 25 of the famous food trucks located across the street from us. Our rooms are not fancy, but we are clean and comfortable with 42" TVs, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, iron/board, and have complimentary wifi and a continental breakfast to get you started in the morning. We pride ourselves with our customer service; we want you to enjoy your stay with us.
Cozy, Functional stay near downtown Portland
Reviewed By Raja8888Considering this place is on the lower end of the price spectrum, I was very satisfied with the product that I received. The room was clean and cozy, though a bit outdated. There was a large desk for me to do work on. The bathroom was clean and functional. Water pressure was strong. Location was perfect for a trip to Portland—close to bus, tram and streetcar stops, also within walking distance to downtown and several food truck pods. One criticism I do have is that the sound proofing is not better. I can hear my neighbors’ TV and they were not watching it at an obscene level. And doors being slammed from next door and the lower level could’ve be felt inside my room. Also the room vibrated when large vehicles would pass by. I would definitely book here again in the future when I return to Portland.

I was afraid it was going to fall out of the cabinet. Tile broken in bathroom by the toilet. Bed squeezed. The check in was very unprofessional. He was wearing sweats and smoking outside. We had to stand outside in the cold to be checked in. We weren't allowed in the lobby. I am praying the bed has no germs.

Shocked and Disappointed by the Falsely Advertised Free Breakfast

However, I was shocked and disappointed to find that the free breakfast advertised on their website does not exist. On the official IHG webpage for this particular hotel, the current front page runs the statement "Great dining begins here each morning at the free, hot Express Start Breakfast Bar. You'll be ready for the day with "Make Your Own Pancakes," western omelets, biscuits and gravy or other hot items, the cold favorites and bold 100% Arabica bean coffee." However, when we arrived, we were informed that they did not offer any breakfast whatsoever, other than the adjacent hotel restaurant at which one could purchase meals. We did not bring breakfast food because we were advertised this free breakfast *on the official webpage* We feel lied to and cheated, as if we paid for a service only to find the service was missing a key promised component.

Restaurants and convenient stores within walking distance are Shari's, Panera Bread, The Shilo Restaurant, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, China Wok, Sidelines, Seven Eleven and Plaid Pantry.

Reviewed By mpouli305365Was guaranteed a “king” room, only one available and it was in the 3rd floor- and there is NO elevator- so if you have a lot of luggage and trouble climbing stairs, not so good. Settled for a queen on the second floor and it was NOT clean (floors made fresh white socks black just walking from bathroom to the bed area) and toilet seat had someone else’s “pube” on it on arrival. It was advertised as having “free breakfast included”, but there is zero breakfast available (they claimed staff shortage to prepare it) but still- false advertising.

Reviewed By Raygina1980I picked this hotel because it was affordable and had free parking. I was honestly pleasantly amazed at how wonderful it was. Very clean with two queen beds, two mini-fridges with freezer space, a well appointed kitchen and full bathroom. There is a laundry on site, but we didn't use it. Traffic noise was standard. It doesn't look like much from the road, but it was a great hotel to stay in.
