Reviewed By dianamU4647KIThis hotel is on a main street and our room was on the street side of the hotel. We got a fabulous night's sleep. The street noise did not get into our room nor did we hear anything from the rooms next to us. The air conditioner was nice and quiet as well. The room was clean, in excellent shape, simple but meet all our needs. Nice breakfast options and staff was very helpful. On this trip we stayed in four hotels. This by far was the best and at a great price too! If we ever have need to stay in Hays again we will be staying here.

Reviewed By 489sherryfThe staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. We have a cat and it is harder to remove kitty litter from a rug. The breakfast was below average. No hard boiled eggs. Just cereal and yogurts. Automatic pancake machines are fine for kids, but not for adults. No butter. Just syrup. Apples were fresh.

A quiet night's rest
Reviewed By Curtis KWe pulled in to a very nice looking building and grounds. The hotel looks new, neat and tidy. Check in was quick and we were in our room. Clean clean clean everywhere. Amazing to have such a beautiful hotel in an almost rural setting with this small town hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I come back this way.

We are the closest hotel to Heartland Park Topeka and are five minutes from the Kansas Expocentre. There are numerous restaurants close to our property on Topeka Blvd.

Get to hotel and they say he has to pay full price for another room after already confirmation that it was okay for him to stay with us. Even showed proof and desk attendant said that goes against their policy and said it was fake.

You don't always get what you pay for...

Incredibly nice and all, but it just seems this property is too much to keep up with. It's very run down, holes in the walls and doors, stained ceilings and beds that sag so badly in the middle, that your feet are as high or higher than your head. The bathroom was dated so bad, the toilet and tub is stained beyond cleaning. In this case, even as low as the rates are, you don't get what you pay for, at all.

It sits in a nondescript area of town that is walking distance (about a mile) from attractions downtown such as outstanding eateries you must visit (Martinellis Little Italy and Robbie’s Famous Cheesecake - which might be the best cheesecake I have ever eaten).
