OK For A Budget Stay With Our Furry Friend
Reviewed By tjb30bStayed at the Motel 6 in Niantic for a getaway weekend with our furry friend. Location is convenient right off I95. Its a budget hotel so no refrigerator, no breakfast and no daily housekeeping was not a deal breaker. Our room was on the small side and the water pressure was low but the cleanliness and maintenance was really good with a pristine paint job. Also Motel 6 allows pets with no additional fee so that's a big plus. All in all, we can't complain and would recommend with the caveat that you know what to expect at a Motel 6 - low cost and minimal amenities but a decent room.

Reviewed By CarmenMNJPre-pandemic I visited this hotel EVERY week on business. I knew the desk staff and always stayed loyal to this hotel. Today was my first time back and it's become an empty shell of what it once was. First, no more food, no restaurant, no room service, no bar. What?? Their food was never amazing, but I knew which dishes were ok and which to stay away from. Now there is nothing. What a waste. The "club lunge" no longer features happy hour snacks, drinks, food, etc. In fact it's locked all the time now. No more convenient place to get coffee or water. Literally no amenities at all. I was willing to bother with the traffic on 91 to get into Hartford in the morning because the hotel was a nice experience. No longer. It's time to find a new place to stay.

Dry up oranges, some yogurt and some pastry…. But not a lot offered…. Coffee was good. We had small ants in our bathroom that I reported. When I reported it a second time, they said they had no bug spray. They stated “it was against the law to spray bug spray.” They gave me a disinfectant to take care of problem…..!!!!!???? I kept all my stuff zipped up in bag! I will not be returning here again.

Reviewed By bob2bkkLocated on Kelly Road, a main road in Vernon, and easy exit off route 84. Stopped for one night on way from Boston to Pennsylvania. Was going to stop in Manchester, but later pssing thru, found it to be very congested and not easy to navigate, so The HIE in Vernon is a good choice. The rooms are small and dated, but clean. Good hot water and pressure, comfortable bed and working TV. For the one night we were there it was quiet. With 2 medium size suitcases and little room to open them, one night is probably my limit for staying there. Breakfast was ok, hot food, cinnamon rolls, juices, yougurt and cereal. No complaints with staff, free parking and restaurants and shopping near by.

Parking Lot Is A Local Party Hangout
Reviewed By picthis1I have stayed here 3 times mainly due to the proximity of Tweed Airport. Each time there was a fairly large group of young people in the parking lot area smoking weed and drinking. It is noticeably loud if you stay in the back area. My first two stays were acceptable for what I wanted. However my last stay was in room 150 this past weekend. It was late and I was too tired to mess with changing rooms. The room had a musty/damp smell like the carpet had been washed but not allowed to dry. In the morning as sunlight filled the room via the window, I could see 3-5 large urine stains on the upper layer of blankets which was white. They were not noticeable during the night with only lights from the room. Big bummer. The people at the front desk have always been nice and helpful here. The breakfast goes fast and they don't want to keep cooking eggs after a while so get up there early if you want it. Typical waffles, fruit, sausage and scrambled powder eggs.
