No Elevator
Reviewed By 236kathykI was shocked after checking in when we were looking for the elevator & were told there was none. We were traveling through & had to carry a car load of luggage upstairs after driving all day. I looked on the website & could not find a place where no elevator was listed. We did see a maintenance room which appeared to be the size of an elevator entry so perhaps it broke & they had it removed.

Reviewed By Herdingcats0105The rooms were super cute and Western themed. The showers were great with awesome water pressure and hot water. Very clean and we would definitely stay again. The kids loved that they got to sign the door! As an FYI the adjoining restaurant is first come first served so if you plan to eat there on a weekend plan accordingly.

We arrive in Amarillo about 5 o’clock in the morning and they let us check in right away and even offered to let us stay that evening again for free if we wanted! Super impressed with the customer service and the overall stay.

Reviewed By Trail645829The owner was very nice as well as the staff. We stayed there for a night with our dogs and cat and the owner went out of his way to accommodate our pets. I really did appreciate that as it is very hard to find rooms that will take in multiple pets. I would stay there again and highly recommend people to stay there. A very pleasant stay. Reviewed By Travis Mfront desk clerk claimed there was “only one room left, the king suite”. $105/ night, I indicated I was in town on business for two weeks, rate did not change. She assigned me a room first heat from front of hotel on 2nd floor(no elevator). Filthy halls & rotting drywall peeling wallpaper on my journey to the assigned room. Air conditioner did not work. Direct tv flat screen only showed weak/no signal(so no tv). Room phone was not operational ( if you were brave enough to touch it(stained yellow somehow), a clunky box fan covered in something black(mold?), refrigerator actually had rotten food in it......upon the front desk describing my room I asked if a room on the other side might be available, she flat lied for the second time and said “no”. When I walked the 150 yards down musky, filthy hallways because room phone didn’t work to request to check out in the morning vs. my original 2 week stay, I was assigned a different room facing the pool, with a working air conditioner, tv, no rotten food, no filthy fan? This is quite possibly the most disgusting hotel experience I’ve had & I travel 90-150 days a year across a 15 year career.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY/TIME at this dump.

Reviewed By Pjay47I started traveling across USA last month. On a tight budget. Motel 6 in Amarillo airport has been the best so far and most economical. Starting with front desk Melissa- she was extremely kind and helpful. My room cleaned by Vicky was squeaking clean. I stayed in room with king bed. Most comfortable bed this trip. I recently paid $100 more for a room at a different chain and was soo disappointed. Also have staid at other Motel 6’s and they don’t compare in the quality of the room. A Motel 6 in Troutdale, Oregon had awesome staff (Allison and Vi) but the room was a disappointment.

Ordered Two Queens, Got ONE King Bed for Family of Five

My family ordered two queen beds for a price gouge of ~$140 then the clerk states it was our fault that we didn't request two queens; though our payment shows for two queens. The door didn't latch, so it had to be bolted to close. The room had a stale odor. There were washing machines in the hallway amongst other trash. The unnecessary DIY speed bump was not to regulation and hit the bottom of our car as we were passing over it. It's located at a very noisy part of town with frequent police and ambulance sirens. After the complaint, the clerk told my husband that he'd only charge $40 instead of the ~$140, instead the clerk lied and only deducted $40. Such shameful business practice and no moral character on part of the clerk and inn. However, if you're looking for an hourly hotel room, this is certainly the nicest hourly inn you can stay.

Suite was roomy but smelly
Reviewed By adrianahmadi2022The entry room of the suite smelled like pet pee, so we spent most of our time in the bedroom or out on the town. My wife sprayed some Frebreeze on the carpet, but this only helped for a short time. The couch was also dingy looking and smelly. Other than this, this location is great. The service was great and check in and check out was fast and accurate.
