On the outside it looks ordinary but once you walk in the inside you'll be surprised. Our waiter was wonderful and attentive. The food and drink was amazingly good. We will definitely be coming back for any occasion either for breakfast, lunch and or dinner. I highly reccomend this restaurant.

My wife and I came here for dinner last night. The food and service were both above average. We were greeted and taken to our seats when we walked in. Our server Victor took our drink orders right away and before he had a chance to bring us our drinks another person brought us fresh chips and salsa. The chips were not salty and tasted fresh and the salsa had a fire-roasted tomato base and had some bite to it but was not overpowering and was quite good. My wife had to seafood fajitas and I had braised short ribs. The food is made fresh when you order and from where we were seated we could watch them prepare our food. Victor came by a couple of times to let us know that they were working on our order. It was worth the wait for the meal my ribs were very tender and had an ancho chile base which was very flavorful and easy to eat. The portion size was just right for us. We had the Tres Leche for desert with our meal and it was the best that I have ever had. We will going again next time I want a great meal for a special occasion. We loved this place. Only here for a week this time, but will go there again before we leave. The service was fast and efficient, the food was wonderful. The wedge salad was amazing. My husband even ate the tomatoes, which he NEVER does. Not a normal salad for a Mexican food place, but nevertheless, he loved it. I had cheese enchiladas and they were not notch.

Our Thursday evening visit here was great for food and service. However, the Mariachi band was unnecessarily loud, to the point that while they were playing anywhere in the restaurant, it was virtually impossible to carry on a coversation.The trumpet player pounded out the music like he was playing in a concert theatre. This made our visit less than enjoyable.I noticed a patron who was leaving after his meal, give the middle finger to the band. I guess he felt the same way that we did.

Returned after a year absence on a crowded Friday night. Prompt, friendly service and inspite of having only two servers covering a full dining room all our needs were attended to.Our orders were properly prepared, hot and very tasty.Authentic Mexican food a cut above the chain restaurants. 6 or 7 visits with no disappointments.

A must go to place for breakfast and lunch! Awesome food. Friendly and accommodating service with a smile! Try the Cups Omelet .. so delicious or the Avocado Toast. But seriously, there isn't a dish that is not made from scratch and tastes so yummy your taste buds throw a party! Highly recommend for anyone. We were a group of 9 and without asking, they gave us separate checks ... now that is amazing! The decor is unique and fun!Thanks, Cups Cafe. We will all be back!

We visited Indio, California for a few days in November. We arrived close to midnite. On the way back to the airport, we were thinking about eating something lite. Our google search found Tacos Gonzales and we decided to venture there.We had tacos only, pastor, carne asada and chorizo. They are served in fresh, small size corn tortillas topped with onion and cilantro. Each bite was a trip to heaven and back. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The waiting time was minimal.The next morning, before heading to Joshua Tree National park we made another stop for late breakfast. This time, my picky eater, fast food-eating 10 year old was hungry and ordered chicken tacos (no onion). The expression on his face was priceless after he took the first bite.He then started asking for Tacos Gonzales for every single meal until the day we left.I highly recommend you try this place, but warn you that it may be a little addictive.

On business we asked where an authentic Mexican restaurant might be. They said Pueblo Viejo of course. Well they were so right. From the moment you walk in you just know you could go for lunch and leave after dinner. The cozy layout of the floor was inviting. The staff was engaging and the food and drink was, well almost perfect! Wonderful Mexican restaurant!

Small place tucked next to the CVS/Albertson. Our host/server was super friendly. We were given chips and salsa to munch on as we perused the menu. The salsa was delicious - a bit spicy. We ordered the chimichanga and enchilada. Both were delicious, including the rice and refried beans. They were served really quickly. Come hungry as the meal was very filling.

Macario's is a little out of the way and lacks great curb appeal but don't let that stop you from dropping in for a meal. While there are many typical American Mexican dishes (fajitas and so on) the menu does have many traditional dishes which are worth trying. The portions are huge (a large bowl of tortilla soup and a platter were way too much for me), the prices cheap and the service excellent. We have been here a number of times and have yet to be disappointed. Watch for the daily specials which on Saturdays includes their margaritas.
