After a movie at the fair oaks theater we visited me in Zâs for an early Mexican dinner. This restaurant offers consistent selections with the same owner working in the kitchen. We were served a cup of soup grad us and also a small dessert of vanilla ice cream with maple sauce is also included in any of the dinners. They do offer a beer and a few mixed drinks. The four of As of dined on chicken tostada us. The wait staff came kept the salsa and chips flowing. It is a small restaurant that has a large outside patio which is great for the warmer months. Give it a try if you are in the area,you wonât be disappointed.

My husband and I were in the mood for Mexican food the other night and found this restaurant online. Great chile rellanos caught our eye! I have to say they were great! The homemade tortillas were hot perfection too. The chicken and pork enchiladas were ok, but did not compare to the rellanos. Beans had too much liquid for our tastes and the rice needed some pizzazz. We saw a couple of the burritos and they looked awesome! We'll save them and the menudo for next time!

Wow wow wow, used to come here every year from hemet and this place was very good. I do not know what happened but this time wasnât good anymore. Ordered the nachos and they were soggy, mush, steak was rare... not coming back unfortunately. Thanks a lot.

Great little Mexican restaurant. I like that they put pictures of the plates on the wall so you can see what you're getting. We eat here about once a month and it is consistently good, very authentic Mexican food.

My husband and I visit this Mexican restaurant approximately one time each week. We love sitting out on the back patio overlooking Arroyo grande creek. The family who runs this restaurant lives in Santa Maria but they were originally from Zacatecas Mexico. They certainly brought a lot of great authentic tasts and preparation ideas with them. Most nights there is a special to take advantage of. The prices are more than fair, for instnce, a green salad for only $3.50. Usually I have a green salad and an enchilada a la cart and my husband has one of the complete dinners. Everything is delicious and most people who were there rave about their meal. Beer is a reasonable cost also. I encourage everyone to support a local restaurant like this that is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the visit.

Last night nine of us had dinner at old Juanâs after attending the Melodrama in Oceano. There was a side room reserved for us and the service was great and dinner was served on a timely basis. I ordered a midsize chicken tostada. I looked as hard as I could and I could hardly find any chicken. Just a few pulled segments mixed in with the salad. Not as appetizing or a as appealing as Iâve had in the past. Everyone else was pleased with their dinner so I was the only one that was not happy.

Fruitiland is bright yellow building with no interior seating. There are a number of picnic tables in small courtyards on either sides of the building. But, donât let the looks of the place deter you. Approaching the window, we were given an extremely friendly greeting by the woman taking orders. She seemed truly excited that it was our first visit and happily made a number of recommendations from a menu of mostly tacos and tortas. I chose the fish tacos. I received three huge tacos in house made, blue corn tortillas and piled high the fish and mango salsa.... very tasty. The truly unique part of my lunch was the recommended oatmeal aqua fresca. I think of aqua fresca as light and citrusy. But, the friendly woman taking our order said âtrust me.â And I am happy that I did. What arrived was a 1 liter carafe with a straw (no separate glass) filled to the rim with concoction of milk, cinnamon, vanilla (I think) and finely ground oatmeal. It was fantastic!

I went for a quick and late lunch with a few friends. The server was really on top of making sure we had everything we needed and the starting the salsa and chips were really good.the prices weren't incredibly inexpensive so it's not great if you're really on a budget, but the food was good and it wasn't too bad for the amount of food you got.

I will return often to a restaurant because it does one thing in an outstanding way. I return to this place because it serves the best chili relleno in the region. The chili pepper is not overcooked, as is so often the case, the breading is light, and the cheese blend is generous. Itâs perfect. I highly recommend the cilantro rice as your rice choice. The refried beans are very good, too. My wife ordered the chili verde tostada and loved it. The pork chunks were cooked just right.The chips are fresh and warm and the salsa is excellent. The service is friendly and nicely attentive. The ambiance is very comfortable. We will return.
