We visited here each night as part of the deal with our hotel, whilst staying in Sallent de Gallego. We were greeted warmly each evening by the friendly owners who spoke excellent English but were happy to speak Spanish to our friend who is learning the language. The food is excellent and in fact it got better and better each night. It was cooked with care and served with great pride. The portions are large and there is a good selection. We looked forward to our meals each evening. We were looked after extremely well, and towards the end of our visit were given extra treats and special dishes. It was a nice touch that the owner came out of the kitchen to check that we were happy with our meals. If you're going to Sallent de Gallego be sure to visit this restaurant.

Nos dieron de comer cuando todos los demás bares de Panticosa nos dijeron que estaba cerrada la cocina. Pedimos dos bocatas de bacon que fueron baratos y cumplidores. Buen servicio.

After a 2 hr ride in the tourist trolley and hungry, our nearby town destination was closed for the day so we returned to Tramacastilla to find , just above the church , perched on the rock, and some parking space rests this charming hotel/restaurant. The dinning area is encased by windows with stunning views and the food oozed authenticity of local flavors including their signature dish of "Migas de Tena". That simple , bread based, peasant dish which is disappearing from many restaurants in Spain. The salads too were abundant and with fresh crispy greens. The prices were very good and the service, unlike others in the area had good manner and were informed.The house wine was plenty and of good quality to match the menu.

I just left the restaurant and I had to review their meal. Their 15⬠set menu including wine is really good. The staff is very friendly. I will be back for sure.

You have a bit more choices than in most of altitude Spanish restaurant. The taste is better than average as well. Another reason to go if that if you take the good dishes, the small menu will be enough to get you full. Whoever you are.Also, the cider is available ad libitum, and tastes OK.

Estuvimos en familia y comimos muy bien. Las empanadillas de foie con helado de queso estavan exquisitas. Tambien destacar la tortilla de bacalao, las migas y el ternasco. De hecho todo lo que pedimos estaba riquisimo. Destacar la eficiencia de Maribel, ella sola se encargo de todo el comedor que estaba lleno y siempre con mucha amabilidad. Volveremos sin dudarlo.

Rang on the off chance they were open ... we are so glad we did. It was their first night open after their annual vacation and what great fun we had. We followed the waiter's recommendations for food and wine and had the most delightful food, the wine was incredible quality and value. But the whole evening was made so much better by our waiter - he was really a lot of fun. We hope to go back again ...

If you want a quiet place after skiing and recover your energy, this is a good restaurant. The service is quite normal and the place is small, but the food and the price are ok. I think is highly recommend for all kind of families.
