This is the kind of place you take ravenous young adults after a hard day's trekking or sailing. It may be no gourmet restaurant but the helpings are are on the large side while the bill is relatively small. And the food and ambiance are not bad at all. You can sit out or in as the weather or mood dictate; the service is rapid and friendly. As its name indicates it specializes in Italian and the pizzas looked particularly good. We ordered "Rognons à la Dijonaise" and they came XXL with a healthy side of "allumettes" and tomatoes. Puddings are perhaps not their strong suit, but perfectly OK. The set menu at â¬28.00 offers multiple choices, while the "A la Carte" offers yet more possibilities. But because they have good turnover, it is not over-ambitious. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous location near Valbonne with magnificent views from the splendid terrace.We were there with seven other friends for lunch on a Friday which comes with a set menu offering a alternative meals for three courses or two if preferred.We choose a varied selection, entrees of Salmon, Squid Carpaccio, Beef Tartare were excellent. The main course of Lamb was disappointing, very dry and overcooked. The Rose flowed the service was very good and the whole experience was really nice and certainly not over expensive for what you get here.A must visit if in the Valbonne area.Dear Peter C,Thank you so much for your opinion about our restaurant.Yes, we are located between Grasse, Mouans-Sartoux, Valbonne Sophia-Antipolis.We have a lunch menu from start 21⬠- 2 dishs or 28⬠- 3 dishs and the lunch menu change every months with sesaonnal and local products.For the lamb we are also disappointing because this is a candied lamb who cook for 12 hours and the meat is very tender.We hope to see you again,Have a nice days,Best regards

This review is written after a fourth visit. The food has been consistently good with friendly service and a very reasonable price. It's a little off the beaten track which probably explains the price, but if you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit for something a little different.

We picked this venue for lunch based on reviews only and weren't disappointed. We shared a vegetarian tapas for two which comprised of great local cheeses, four different tapenades, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and confitures. It was a deceptively large amount of food and we enjoyed it enough to leave with an additional slice of one of the local cheeses. Great for watching the world go by, very reasonably priced too. Looking forward to another visit.

We recently enjoyed a beautiful evening in the charming courtyard at L'Ecole des FIlles. Everything was wonderful from the amuse-bouches, to the mignardises with coffee. The sea bass, in particular, was heavenly. We were advised to get there early and were glad we did: the place was full by 8pm. The four of us enjoyed everything: the food, the setting, the professionalism of the waiters, all spot-on. Looking forward to going back!

If you're a foodie, look no further. This place is a hidden gem for those-in-the-know. Food is very high quality and beautifully presented. Quality/price ratio is high on their 45 Euro prixe fixe (lobster salad was huge with lots of lobster. The lamb prepared two ways was a stunner.)The chef's wife is very knowledgable and offers a warm, caring welcome. Be sure to reserve as it's tiny. In good weather ask for one of the coveted spots outside. Wine list is small but expertly crafted.

We loved our local restaurant whilst staying in le Rouret. Without a doubt the restaurant is always busy and has limited nights during the week. The asparagus dish with fresh egg mayonnaise and a choice of miniature lettuces was beyond fabulous! Great atmosphere and the best in the area .

Having read the mostly positive reviews for this restaurant, we were looking forward to discovering it. The first surprise was the restaurant itself! It looked small and dingy from the outside and not much better within. Basically, the setting and decor are awful.The service was decent, the waiter was polite but responded in monosyllables.On the plus side, the meal was outstanding and worthy of any high end French dining establishment.So, to sum up, a mixed bag. A great eatery but I wouldn't go there for a celebratory occasion as the setting is not on par with the food.

Late dinner with some friends and kids. Very nice 70s like atmosphere with a very friendly fast service (we were parched and starving!). Good food (burgers and thai salad) at fair price. Could improve on the beers (only basic lagers...). The kids loved it: a lot of safe space to run around, free games... Highly recommended!And thank you so much for writting an advice like this one !!!! we hope to see you back soon :))))
