We came across this large, beautifully presented restaurant behind the bar section during a fleeting visit to Montilla and were impressed by the genuine Spanish food and great value. Many locals were having their lunch there including children, businessmen and groups of women. Cena de pareja. Destacar que nos atendieron sin ningún problema siendo un dÃa 6 de enero a las 23h, lo cual agradecemos enormemente. El servicio fue bueno, tuvo un buen ritmo a la hora de atender y sacaron los platos en un tiempo prudencial, sin olvidar lo correcto y respetuoso de los camareros. Los platos que tomamos, media ración de carrillada al centro, un crispÃn y y un flamenquÃn. Todo muy rico, a salvedad de las patatas de la guarnición, que no nos parecieron del todo acordes con los platos a los que acompañaban. A ello le sumamos dos refrescos cada uno, lo que hizo una suma total de 23.10â¬, algo más que razonable para la comida y la atención que recibimos. Muy recomendable, repetiremos.

Recommandé par notre hôte de chambre B&B, nous nous sommes dirigés vers la grande place juste à côté du théâtre. Habituellement, nous fuions c'est endroit centro pour sortir des sentiers battus mais une fois n'est pas coutume. Après un bref passage dans le restaurant hyper bruyant avec des ninos qui sautaient partout, notre serveuse nous a proposé une belle place en terrasse avec bien entendu, un beau verre de vin blanc de la region de Montilla, extra. Ensuite bien conseillé, nous avons essayé les spécialités culinaires locales et c'était vraiment très très bien. Prix très correct par rapport à l'emplacement, la quantité et la qualité et surtout la gentillesse de notre serveur. Donc sans hésitations...

The initial impression of this bar restaurant is good for a drink but not to eat in, HOWEVER pass into the dining room and the feel changes. Tastefully laid out, efficient service by pleasant waiters, 3 different levels of dining Menu (cheap), Menu (executive) and a-la-carte all very good. for desert try the Leche frita (fried milk) with flaming Anis poured over.

We arrived early (by Spanish standards) for dinner at 9 30pm. The restaurant was almost empty. We ordered several plates of food together with glasses of local wine. The portions were large, the food tasty and, in honesty, we had more than we could comfortably eat. The bill for three persons came to around 60 Euro which seemed good value.By 10 30 the restaurant was full of locals, even so the service was slick and the quality of the food remained high.Recommended

Was treated to lunch at this restaurant after spending a couple of hours taking a local vineyard tour, which included wine tasting!Menu was preset with only two choices! Passed on pork medallions and late ordered fish in a red sauce. They said the fish was Iberian cod, which I didn't care for! The wine served was terrible and it was tasteless-two choices! However had an appetizer of cod and scrambled egg, which was okay! Of course we got to taste wine at the local vineyard and I didn't care for all of the five choices! Restaurant service was ok!Oh well Spain is a wonderful country to visit, and you can't win them all!En primer lugar , gracias por visitar nuestra ciudad,En cuanto a su comentario , el menú que su operador de viajes contrata es el menú más económico , un menú de mucha calidad , y según el comentario citado a usted le gustarÃa haber probado más platos tÃpicos de nuestra zona que si están ofertados en los diferentes menús a su agencia , pero se decidieron por el más económico! As far as I could tell El Nueva Barrel De Ora no longer exists. The original is situated on the Alvear roundabout where I suspect it has always been. Following the map coordinates for El Nueva takes you to a totally different restaurant. The photo on El Nueva is actually of the original restaurant which is designated closed on TripAdvisor. Confused? I certainly was.Barril De Ora is a typical busy roadside Spanish restaurant. Seemingly very popular with locals as are many others. The Iberico meat half ration for 5 euros was excellent. My wife ordered Rabbo De Torro. It had obviously been microwaved probably from frozen with half the meal still icy cold. After returning it to the kitchen we were not charged for the meal.If this really is the number 1 restaurant in Montilla then the rest must be very poor. I do not believe it deserves the rating
