One of my favourite places, as it is close to home as well.It is situated in a very nice location with fantastic view over the mountains and valley. Service is always superb and very attentive to our needs. If you ask for something special, they will try to make it for you.Food is very good with big portions, so no excuse for being hungry after a meal.I recommend this place with honour. A super lovely way to spend a lunch near Alora! Incredible views and an excellent meal. Decently priced as well. We did not stay at the hotel but it looked like it could be 5 stars. The drive through the Camino del Ray is not to be missed!

Feeling a bit hungry and like tapas (who does not?) Stop here. Go to the back and pick your tapas. Why not directly pick one the fantastic cakes to accompany your espresso. Nice nice! gracias por su opinion,un placer haberle tenido en nuestro local.gracias.

This a very popular restaurant in the interesting village of Carratraca. There is no menu, the price is nine euros. For this price there is wine and water and numerous Spanish dishes, this offers excellent value if you like this kind of Spanish fare.Next door you can get coffee and cake for one euro.

This restaurant doesn´t have the location on the main square like many of the others, but what it does have is a lovely lady owner who could not have been friendlier. It is near to the playpark where there is a small terrace on the street, with a few local men drinking and chatting. However there was a wide selection of tapas - from gambas pil-pil through to tortillas and empanadas. Not the best tapas ever, but all good value at â¬1.

This pizzeria is by the playpark so, if you have children, you can eat on the terrace whilst they play. The service is excellent - very friendly and attentive.HUGE selection of pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, etc all at great value. The pizza dough is homemade and the tomato sauce that they use is delicious and herby.We had Margarita â¬4, Básica (with ham) â¬5, Almórchon (with buffalo mozzarella and jámon serrano) â¬7 and a Ensalada Templada (with grilled goats cheese) â¬5.Plus a G&T, glass of white wine, bottle of water and bottle of red wine and the bill was only â¬36.

Great location, eventually good service but it took a while to warm up, some of the food was okay but mainly bulk produced and so overcooked and not very tasty, so overall quite disappointing after a strong recommendation. However, we went on a Saturday at the height of summer and I suspect that it will be much better at a quieter time. 2 large tourist coaches parked outside should have been a warning sign.........

We had a day out at the lakes and came across El Mirador. We had a perfect uninterrupted view of the lake. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We had vegetable paella. This restaurant is very much on the tourist route but the food and service were not compromised at all. Down side? Tricky to park when busy and no paper in the ladiesâ loo.

Trully amazing. I have come to this restaurant a couple of times in a month and i have to admit that i am incredibly impressed. A restaurant with high quality food and an impressive service. Just imagine the ober asking what you and while you are still doing it, another ober brings you the drinks you where just asking to the first one. This is even above beeing fast. Waiting time for the food aprox. 5 min. Just wonderfull. It amazes me when an establishment is able to better itself with every day that passes.

This small bar was a cultural experience of town life in Andalusia. We ordered the tapas sampler and a small cerveza from the barman. We each got the same 6 tapas. They were different than anything I had anywhere else. I found mine mostly good, and all were totally interesting. We had to ask what some of the things were. Between my limited Espanol and the barman's limited English we communicated. My wife said a couple of the offerings were not to her liking so I ate hers as well as mine. People came and went while we were there, locals of all ages but the place kept getting more full that mid-afternoon. It was noisy with conversations as people met and ate and drank. Kids, old people, all ages were there. I would give the food a 4 but the experience was a definite 5/5. Total 17 euros.By the way, I advise against driving the street that goes straight up the hill from Ell Millan. It gets steeper and narrower as you go. Kind of hairy. Finally you get to the top and can turn left onto a wider street, and catch your breath.
