Reviewed By Jim DWe attended our son's marriage in this place recently. The location was stunning and the wine from their own vineyard was exceptionally good. The accommodation was beautiful and very spacious and we would love to return very soon.

Quiet camping with very friendly staff
Reviewed By Chantal HWe stayed here in a Powell lodge for 2 nights. The lodges are spacious and the staff is very friendly. We arrived in the late afternoon and although the swimming was closed at 7pm, we could take a swim with our 5 year old son for about 15 minutes. The lodges do not have airconditioning, so be aware that it can be hot in summer. We used the showers in the sanitary block to keep our lodge cool. The sanitary is very clean and the temperature of the water is very good to control during showering. The swimming pool as well is clean and neat. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, so we didn't eat there but at the pool you can have an ice cream if you want. To the city centre of Albi you can go for a 20minutes walk or take the car (the staff informs you what the best free parking places are in the city center).

14 chalets built in wood and 4 lodges in wood and coton , confortable , warmth , equipped for 5 people . They are on a delightful site on a former wine farm near the river. This is ideal for family's holidays and peaceful time . You like nature , fishing , warmed swimming , everything is here ..
Calm on the Tarn... un vrai paradis
Reviewed By Barrie NWe have been to the Chalets 8 times now either en route from other destinations or for a long stay. It is just somewhere we love because it's peaceful but there's company; its comfortable without being luxurious or pretentious; it's by the river and we have enjoyed canoeing to Gaillac, seeing the kinffishers on the way; it's near Gaillac which is picturesque and cultured without being over touristy. It's fun. It's different. We love it and want to extol its virtues and recommend it to Francophiles. We now tend to stay in June before the main holidays but before retirement we stayed in July and August when Michele and Gerard, the owners, organised activities in the grange; we have participated in French plays, played lotto, even done a French dictee, sung along to Charles Trenet! Michele and Gerard are now retired but still living in the farmhouse on the former vineyard. Alain and Lydie are now in charge of the Chalets and are just as charming, energetic and committed to making things as comfortable for people as possible. There are 10 chalets and 4 tents ( glamping style) on a large site with plenty of room between chalets and shaded by mature trees - many of them cherry trees, mulberries bearing a plentiful supply of juicy produce. The chalets are not enormous and they are simply furnished with all the basics provided - two gas rings, a microwave, kettle, heating if required, small shower room cum WC, a balcony and a barbecue. Don't expect super luxury but we are thinking of going there for a ninth time , ergo, there can't be much to dislike| What more can we say except - a la prochaine!

In the countryside,a quiet place to spend holidays or mid-week. 8 Chalets in wood, built in a nice park with the shadow of oak trees. A large swimming pool, a ping pong table, bicycle to rent, a big room for meetings, etc... Everything is made to make your holidays super !

Reviewed By kazstar63This hotel is also know as Chez Louise on Booking.com. After booking our accommodation well in advance in October 2018 they sent a one sentence email to us yesterday 3 weeks before we travel to say they have cancelled our accommodation. No real explanation just cancelled due to family reasons they say. The web sites show that it is fully booked on the day they have cancelled and available the day before and the day after. My husband and friends were staying for one night during the tour de France and have booked flights and trains which cant be changed. Now they have to try and find accommodation for 4 men in a town that is fully booked. Not happy at all and really inexcusable when plans have been made so far in a advance and everything else planned around it. Shame Shame.

Our B&B and Self-catering Holiday Cottages located at the foot of Ferrières, thirty minutes from Castres (81) and ten minutes from Brassac, beautifully restored between 1996 and 2002, have an exceptional location: just like a diamond in its setting, the mill dominates the end of a green and untouched valley, part of the Regional Park of Haut-Languedoc, in the very heart of Sidobre in the Tarn. In former times, the "Moulin de Record" was the most important mill in the department. Our individual B&B, and our self catering holiday cottages charm an audience that comes not only for fishing (private and exclusively reserved to residents of the Mill of Record), but especially and above all to relax, recharge batteries, wishing to return to nature the time of their stay. Our B&B "Le Pilou", sleeps 2 (Queen bed 160x200), a comfortable suite (38 sqm) with private terrace. Possibility to have dinner with us ("Table d'hôtes")- on reservation only - September to June: from 1 night on as B&B for 2, with or without dinner. Juy & August: 1 week minimum, fortnight, 3 weeks or 1 month (arrivals and departures only on Saturday)in cottage formula for 2. The well equipped kitchen is hidden and not available in B&B formula. Our cottages(sleeps up to 4) have two main rooms equipped with kitchen, dining area, lounge area with comfortable sofa bed sleeps 2, bathroom with shower, WC, bedroom with a queen bed (160x200), a convertible armchair for 1 person, and baby bed on request. Reviewed By Adeline VAccueil chaleureux par les propriétaires. Nous avons logés dans un des gîtes 3 adultes et 1 ado et 1 enfant le gîte est bien équipé et propre avec une très bonne literie. Mais le top du top c'est l'emplacement au bord de la rivière et la possibilité de participer à la pêche aux écrevisses et la visite du moulin organisées par les propriétaires. Mon ado et son grand père ont pu pêcher (no killed) a leur guise dans cadre naturel magnifique ! Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.

Welcome to our family-run bed & breakfast. We offer three beautifully renovated rooms, a generous breakfast and a charming location perfect for travellers on a romantic break, business or a tour of the delights of southwest France. Olinda is our 17th-century timber-frame home, a former coaching inn with a secluded courtyard and rose garden at the heart of the medieval village of Puylaurens. Our rooms combine contemporary style and high-quality finish with original restored timber beams, stone and brickwork. To highlight the natural beauty of their features and surroundings, we gave them the Brazilian names for Sky, Earth and Garden. All rooms are at least 25m2, have en suite bathrooms, luxury bedding, free WiFi access and satellite television. A generous breakfast, featuring fresh local produce and home-made jams, is served in the dining room or the courtyard.

Reviewed By jb eIf you're looking for a very nice place, on a beautiful countryside, just go to Olinda, you'll feel at home and away at the same time. Great surroundings, James and Amanda are incredibly nice and welcoming.
