Top 10 Lodges in Granada, Spain

April 26, 2023 Hector Krause

The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas. Granada’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, thanks in part to its student population. Hit the bars of Calle Elvira or, for a quieter outing, the traditional tea rooms of La Calle de Las Teterias.

Lovely place to stay in the Albaicin

Reviewed By Fleming75

This small hotel is high up in the Albaicin in a tiny side street. Taxis will drop you off at the end of the street and it a hairy experience as they navigate the tiny streets and tight corners! It has a lovely patio where a complimentary typically Spanish breakfast is served each morning. We had a room with a small shared patio from which there was a view if you stood of the Alhambra and the distant Sierra Nevada. The main patio serving all the rooms was lovely and a peaceful place to sit with many flowering shrubs. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and very quiet to sleep. The owner Ainhoa was fabulous and with Carmen, gave a very personal service; I was recovering from a broken ankle and the steep cobbled streets were not easy for me (note for anyone with mobility issues). Ainhoa recommended nearby fabulous restaurants and how we should see Granada in my circumstances and called us taxis which were so cheap and quick to come. I thoroughly recommend this as somewhere to stay.

Living the Life in Granada

My wife and I, traveling 10 days in southern Spain, had the absolute pleasure of staying at Conde de Cabra in Granada. Don't make the same mistake we made and only stay for two nights! Location? Perfect. Everything was walkable. Views? Lovely. Comfort? No question! This is a renovated centuries-old palace that's been renovated and given wonderful touches throughout. But, yes, it's still a centuries old palace so don't expect perfection. That said, from the moment we opened the front door, entered the lovely inner courtyard and made our way up a flight of stairs to our apartment to when we sadly closed the door behind us when we left, we had a wonderful stay. The owner was a wonderful host and the space both atmospheric and enjoyable.
