Paradise resort from a Fantasy book.

Fantasy is a good name for the resort because everything about redefines paradise. The bungalow suite had a working jacuzzi which made a very comfortable bath and steam sauna which was ideal for me to relax in. The kawa baths were my favorite as we watched the sunset while in such relaxing and hot water. The messages were nice and hope someday they will make a dedicated room just for that feature instead of it being in the rooms. The staff were all very friendly and worked with me online when though my schedule kept changing even ending transportation for me and all of my Filipino family that joined. I would highly recommend staying at this resort and it made my family bonding time absolutely magical.

Sumisid Lodge

Sumisid Lodge is a small and homely diver’s accommodation. The front patio of the lodge connects with the dive center. The venue is the center of Panagsama beach where you will find a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The front of the lodge faces Negros straight and offers a pretty sun downer. There is a very casual ‘make yourself at home’ kind of feeling to the lodge. Meals are buffet style and if guest join for dinner than all the guest dine at the same time. The cook here has a reputation to excel when it comes to local favorites. Meals are served in the lounge/sitting area and usually guests take their plate and eat on the outside patio. The Dive center is adjacent of the lodge… it doesn’t get easier than this. While you’re having breakfast the dive center staff is preparing your dive gear and you can watch them doing it. A no-nonsense accommodation; this is how it is; this is how we do it and we do it right! If you’re here to dive, then you’ve come to the right place.

This place is owned and managed by a Polish couple and their son, Micky, with his Filipina wife. They run it well and are quite obsessive with cleanliness (chanced upon not only the staff but Micky himself cleaning/wiping down the walls, the rails, etc. even late at night). The restaurant served great food at very reasonable prices as well, especially for breakfast. They also offered the Polish delicacy pierogi (choice of pork or cheese & potatoes) which are like dumplings that came with green salad and they were very good and quite filling. Their amenities are far from luxurious but high-quality. It's not beachfront but a quick, pleasant 5-minute walk away from Kota Beach. Would not hesitate staying there again.

Sascha’s Resort Oslob

Nice place to stay and relax..Facing the ocean ..Fresh air from the seabreeze..We have clean rooms with own bathroom with hot shower, flat screen TV, free Wifi, outdoor pool for adults and kids, and a floating cottage in the ocean. We are 6 km from the whale sharks, walking distance from the market and from the old Spanish church.

Disappointing stay

Reviewed By Richard L

I spent 3 nights here and did not have wifi during my entire stay. There was no soap or shampoo supplied. 3 times I had no water in the bathroom. When I had water the pressure was very low. The pool was not clean so I could not use it. The location was good to walk to the town however I would not recommend.

Good for the airport...amenities nearby

Reviewed By AdamBilgy

Very handy for the Airport, with a transfer by grab taxi taking about 10-15 minutes, costing 120 pesos each way. Situated very near to street food options, and a mall with supermarket. We had a warm welcome from the host, who gave us some good local information and showed us to the room. It was very clean, with large comfortable bed, decent powerful warm showers and good quality linens and towels. Plenty of hanging space. There was a fridge with soft drinks available for purchase, as well as snacks to buy to. The central area had free dispensed water , but was too sweaty to sit outside in and open to mosquitoes. Breakfast was available if required. There is a 10pm curfew, if that bothers you.

We stopped at Maxvir for a night so we could swim with the whale sharks and get there nice and early. The place is absolutely adorable! Right on the ocean- clean and comfortable. Immediately, the sweet woman who runs the place upgraded us to a more comfortable room for our family of four and the gentleman had the hot water ready for us (for coffee) at 3 AM! Highly recommend for one night or one week!
