This is my third time coming here and it's delicious. Going to Dazaifu and not having umegae mochi is like going to a baseball game and leaving before the first pitch.

The name of the restaurant is "Saifu Udon".And they have the best homemade Udon!But you can combine with many variations of tempura.Everything is made to perfection and the staff is soooooo friendly, helpful and speaks good English!Just to fully recommend!

There was near Dazaifu tenmangu.you can go from there by walk.of course there are parking. But it is only 2 or 3.You must be think expensive when you see exterior .but not expensive and good.sushi was very fresh. Especially I recommend gomasaba. It was so good.

This the one of restaurants in dazaifu you must try.once you buy package tickets for daizaifu tour in Hakata station,lunch in this restaurant is include. And they will give you map for you a map of this restaurant.

A very nice bar style ramen shop, with choice of spiceness.They serve kyushu style tonkotsu(pork) ramen.Ordering is via a machine (as usual) with no english menu, but with picrures + at the entrance there is an english explanation.As Dazaifu is popular, expact a queue, but it goes quite quick.

A very unasuming place, front is a shop selling Mentaiko, allowing free sampling.Only seating for approximately 20 people across 5 tables but worth the wait. Selections come out in small dishes, soup in a tea pot. Rice & soup is replenished as you need, if you want more sides it is at an additional cost. 2 serves of rice & soup is satisfactory for a meal.Was thankful to taste mentaiko in this style. Highly recommend it.

We went to dazaifu on 15 April 2016 for half-a-day trip.Found this place on Tripadvisor and decided to go there for lunch.Ordered 4 sets of food, all tasted awesome and not on expensive side.They have a dessert made of grilled sticky rice with mashed red bean inside, only 120 yen, must try.

My Japanese friend knew where to stop on the busy, touristy road to Dazaifu for the famous local delicacy, Umegae-mochi. The stylish, minimalist interior complemented the fine looking mochi, which we enjoyed with green tea. Delicious! If you want to try this local snack, then I think this is the place to taste it!
