Nice and cosy atmosphere and foods are great. Normally, in German, restaurants serve casual dishes, but here is a bit more sophisticated. Maybe it is the reason why there is no much choice on the menu. Quality of house wine, I had Lugana, was also very nice.

I grew up in this area and have visited this restaurant multiple times. I was never disappointed. Opposite. Usually you have your favourite dish at your favourite Italian Restaurant. At Pompei I always chose something different and it is always good. Doesn't matter if it is Pasta, Pizza, Fish or Meat. The owner is a legend in Usingen. He is Italian but I think he was born in that restaurant and lives there too ;-) He is always there he likes to chat with people and can remember almost everyone who set a foot in his Restaurant. Great staff as well. Keep it up. I will always come back.

We liked this little restaurant a lot. The food was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere buzzing. Pizzas ranged from ⬠to â¬9.50 with most around 6 or 7 Euro mark and they are baked over wood in their pizza oven. (We didn't have pizza but they looked very nice). The same price for pasta dishes, all the pasta is home-made from scratch and there is also a specials menu which is slightly more expensive but looked delicious. We had an enormous side salad that included large chunks of tuna for only â¬4.50. As the name suggest, this is a family run business and the owner has a real drive. The place was buzzing with locals, the only bad thing is that there is not too many seats so if eating at the weekend, I'd book first to make sure there is space. Portions are large and service is always with a smile. All in all, well worth it, particularly if you are travelling on a shoe string. Give it a try!

Chose to stay in Konigstein im Taunus after arriving in Frankfurt for it's cobbled old town. It is a delightful place not frequented by Americans. Having read about flammkuchen, we wanted to try it there. Wow! Had the cheese, onion and mushrooms . It is similar to the Alsatian tarte but better. Other items in the small restaurant were good also.

Stopped by this Italian restaurant (run by authentic italians) with some friends and really liked it. Attentive staff (despite full house) Saltimbocca alla Romana, fish dishes, pasta and pizza all came well made and tasty. Sure worthwhile to spend some time there.

We decided spontaneously to go into this pizzeria. The ambiente was ok, something like 70s-80s, we actually like this kind of restaurant charm. The food portions were normal and they tasted normal, nothing special. One big negative: our clothes smelled like food when we left, so the airing, if exists, doesn't function well. Obviously one doesn't have this problem when sitting outside, but we were sitting inside. Prices were ok and so was the service. My two-star deduction is due to average food and smelling clothes.

My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu. Bravo Mirwais!Thank you very much! You have to come back on a sunny day to take a look out of our windows an to see the great panorama. And of course, to explore the menu.We are looking forward to see you, kind regardsMiro
