Not sure why but every time I went past this restaurant it was either closed or full., It seems to be more of a 'Group Booking' type of place, not the usual drop by and grab a table sort of restaurant. Its a drive out of Neu Anspach and forget this totally in winter., you have a very very steep drive up a road that becomes a one way street in winter with the snow so if a car is coming the other way (down the hill) you have no option but to back all the way down again and then start again from the bottom of the very steep hill ! Not ideal and dangerous to boot., then you have to still traverse the rest of the road to the restaurant in winter....
In summer as I said it is either closed or booked out to a group so unless your a group I would give this a big miss...

I had never been to Feldberg and was surprised that you could get up into the Wilderness so fast. Beautiful surroundings with lots of deep forest and small fairy tale villages. The views are amazing, you can see Frankfurt's Skyscrapers at the foot of the mountain.
The restaurant looks very alpine to me and has a good atmosphere. Staff seems to be busy and could be more friendly (guess that is normal in Germany ;-). Food is ok, but due to the location and monopoly on the pricier side.
Make sure you get a first row seat at the Terrace to enjoy the amazing views.

Wer einmal die Rehcreme probiert hat, wird gerne wieder kommen. Ausgefallene Wildspezialitäten, sogar Dachs, werden hier auf traditionelle Art extrem schmackhaft zubereitet. Sogar Wildhasen, ein leider sehr rar gewordener Genuß, ist hier manchmal zu kosten. Speisen und Atmosphäre sind ausgezeichnet, der Service angemessen. Wer sich nach dem leckeren Mahl die Füße vertreten will, findet in der wunderschönen Landschaft des Hochtaunus auch dazu Gelegenheit.

We decided spontaneously to go into this pizzeria. The ambiente was ok, something like 70s-80s, we actually like this kind of restaurant charm. The food portions were normal and they tasted normal, nothing special. One big negative: our clothes smelled like food when we left, so the airing, if exists, doesn't function well. Obviously one doesn't have this problem when sitting outside, but we were sitting inside. Prices were ok and so was the service. My two-star deduction is due to average food and smelling clothes.

Das Collegium Glashütten ist eigentlich eine Kantine im Haus der Commerzbank aber mit gutem Essen und netten Personal und guter Kaffeemaschine.

We ate here since the restaurant at the villa was closed. Overall an excellent venue with a special emphasis on the service.
The views of Frankfurt when dining al fresco are wonderful. The menu is very German but very classical at the same time. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The chef manages to balance his approach nicely and doesn't overdue it one bit. I had the ubiquitous Weiner schnitzel and it was divine.
Excellent wine list and whiskey list as well.
Worth a visit especially if you'd like to dine outside and have a classical menu.

Recently renovated interior. Friendly service and very fair prices. Food menu is basic and food is average. Monday is Schnitzel special starting at 5€ for a dinner. The cake selection is extensive I did not try but it looked good. I would recommend for a value stop while out in the beautiful Taunus Area. It has a small but nice Biergarten as well. A little too close to the street though to feel really in nature. Don’t expect gourmet food. Good for families. There is no special kids menu, but the prices are so low you don’t need it.

Don't misunderstand me, this is a good restaurant, a good German-Italian but not a good Italian restaurant. For example my pasta was overcooked and full of cream, two things you'll not experience in restaurants in Italy (where I lived 10 years in case you're wondering about my credentials). I skipped desert, too much food!
Now for the positive, the portions are quite generous and well presented. Our waiter was pleasant and friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long. List of wine is a little bit pricy but you will find something that fits your wallet.
3 stars is too harsh but in my book this can't be a 4-star Italian. Sorry guys, nothing personal.

We were looking for a reasonably priced, local, authentic German food. This certainly hit the spot. They did not have an English menu and the waitress said she did not speak English, but she came back with her husband, the cook/owner who explained the items on the menu for us They had a diversified menu which included game dishes. I ended up with a wild pig (boar) bratwurst with fries and salad. With the beer, the total was about 9 euros! It was all very tasty. My wife had a pork steak topped with camembert which was also very good.
We loved this restaurant (also has a nice view), and the owners who made sure we had everything we wanted.
We recommend highly.
