Locals eat here so must be good. It's well out of town and as a result the prices are much cheaper. We went here at lunchtime and had simple stuff; Civapcici and Raznici, but it was well cooked and large portions.

Walked in through City Entrance ( Big Statue ), young lady offering Menu just inside- polite , not pushy:First left and we entered an atmospheric courtyard: Restaurant on the left , checked out the Menu and another delightful Lady explained the menu .We were ready to eat and picked a table :My Wife had a risotto and I had a Chicken Dish : Both were great with a couple of beers: Service was great and two coffees and Gelato complimented the meal nicely: Pleasantly priced and would come again:Recommend definitely:

My husband and I were on a holiday in Split and had been on a day trip to Dubrovnik getting back quite late. After a quick shower and a pre dinner drink at a local bar we went here for a pizza. We also ordered a salad and were most impressed that it was delivered with our pizza as we have been to so many places that have brought it out first. We like to eat salad with our pizzas.Great meal and service was spot on.Dear Suehawthorn, thank you for your time dedicated to share your experience at Portas! Me and my wife read in local newspaper that Basta pizza is excellent, so we decided to give it a shot, we were really astonished by pizzas we got, crust was exactly on spot, soft and thin, very rich with ingredients , actually its was best pizza that i have ever eaten, its a bit pricey place but considering location, and pizza quality its worth every dime spent. I will visit your place again, be sure!! regardsWe are happy you gave Basta a try and enjoyed the experience and our pizza. We are doing our best to insure best quality ingredients and attention to details to insure that each guest enjoys best possible Basta pizza. We hope you will come again.

Ate here on the second night of our Stobrec stay. Weâd had a long hot day travelling into Split and this restaurant was only 3min walk from our apartment Sat outside with views of the mountains to enjoy. The pizzas took quite a long time to arrive so we ended up ordering olives and bread while we waited. Which was fine. When the pizzas did arrive we were all really pleased with our choices - shrimp for the children, anchovies for me and vegetable for my wife. They were delicious and big! We couldnât eat them all, probably because of the bread and olives ââï¸. But the waiter was great, he took what we had left and put it all in a take away box for us. We had the rest for lunch the next day

I'm regular guest in this pizzeria. I started going few years ago and I have never been there and ate a bad pizza!Its a bit old fashion pizzeria but its worth it.I recommend everyone jumbo pizza(you can choose a lot of different kind). Its usually for 4 persons but a lot of times there were just me and my friend and finished the whole pizza. Its very big and you have to be very hungry to do it.Anyway, best recommendations for everyone.

My husband and I headed here for a romantic sunset dinner during a trip booked for my 30th birthday. The restaurant was not overly busy _ maybe half full, but the waitress came to apologise after we waited over 30 mins for our food to arrive. My lasagne then arrived completely raw. The pasta wasn't even partially cooked. I sent it back and ordered a pizza since I thought this would quick... It being a pizzeria restaurant with a woodfired oven. I recently read that a pizza in Italy takes as long to cook as the chef can hold their breath. I was told by the waitress that the pizza would be made immediately. However, we are not in Italy and nor was the pizza put in straight away, because it didn't arrive for another half hour, long after my husband finished his dinner and my appetite was gone, it now being 9.30pm. Too late for the paltry coffee offered on the house lest I be up all night raging about it. The bill arrived without anything taken off (except the lasagne of course!!) and it was not cheap at 235 kunas, for mediocre pizzas and shocking service. Do not recommend.

It is a normal,italian restaurant, probably even below the average of the most of the italian restaurants you can find in any place around the World, and probably the only reason of the success it is inside the 5 star hotel, and then the prices are very high and they get many customers who are staying their vacations in the hotel.My suggestion is to choose other italian restaurant with more reasonable prices , if you are looking for an italian restaurant or a nearby restaurant like leonis, if what you are looking for it is a restaurant close to Le Meridien Lav hotel.Dear anonymustraveler111,thank you for sharing your feedback with us.Reading your feedback, I can only say that we are sorry that we didnât meet up with your expectations.
