My family and I have been enjoying Rocky's Pizza for several years. For family occasions, it is our go-to pizza place. We usually order take-out. The pizza has an excellent thin crust. It's chewy yet with a crisp bottom. The tomato sauce is one of the best around. It's rich and tasty and, best of all, it is not acidic. The location is in an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. The atmosphere is non-existent, but the food is fresh and good.

The place specializes in authentic Italian food products. They make a tasty hoagie, but it could use more meat and is small for the price (about $8 for 6 inch). They have some packages "homemade" stuff frozen, such as meatballs - but I am not fully convinced they are "homemade." Everything is expensive. They also have a stand at the Fairground market.

Wow. This place has gone down hill..NO top shelf liquors. Asked for a Grey goose martini and was offered Titos well vodka.Asked for a hi end scotch? Aged bourbon? Forget Cognac they didn't even know what it was. Nothing. I stood in the bar for ten minutes with no one to even offer me a drink . Finally when a Bar asst. , no tender in my opinion arrived he told me to talk to the MGR. He only works there. Wow. Really! Ihad an ice tea.Chicken tasted like snake n bake.No bar service for our table and the server was kind and understanding but this cavalcade of restaurant inequities was above his way grade. This is an Italian restaurant. No veal on the menu, parm, marsala nothing. When I asked for what the specials of the day were, like fresh fish dishes I was told that the Meatball promo is going on for March madness. I spent $200 including a tip for 2 ok apps., 1 family salad,2 dinners, 4 soft drinks, and a dessert that had a petrified wood type brownie in it that was dry and unchewable. The table cloths were plastic and I called to speak to the Mgr. The following day Who called me back in a swift manner and promised to send me a gift card( Which has still yet to arrive from over 4 weeks ago and promised to upscale her bar with 1 bottle of upscale,I call it moderate (Grey Goose) and for me to call so they can make me a veal dish that I would pay for of course. Thanks for nothing. No follow up , No Gift card, etc. Nothing...I even took the time to call and try to resolve the bad experience I encountered prior to writing this review. After multiple weeks I will not be returning to be ignored and my feedback fell on deaf ears apparently. There are a few Italian restaurants in the area that are truly striving to satisfy a customers pallet. I will just go there. My advice is keep your money and enjoy a dinner at another restaurant. I would do call ahead seating- but be warned, you need to remember your number. It's a seat yourself type of place with table numbers easily seen. You may wait a bit if you don't reserve a table, they're busy!Happy hour prices are good- and the $5 red sangrias are really made well (very strong!). All of the food was great and reasonably priced. They also have a nice selection of gluten-free options if you require that. There's really only two downsides to the place. The service is a bit slow- such as the server brought out my pizza, but then it was 10 minutes before the other two at the table got their food- that's not acceptable. The other is that the restrooms are an absolute dump (at least the men's room is). The door doesn't even close properly, so as soon as you open the door, you can see someone taking a leak at the urinal since there's no barrier between the urinal closest to the door and sink.Otherwise, nice restaurant and really good food!

My girlfriend and I stopped into Fiore's Ristorante Italian Bar & Pizzeria for lunch a few days ago while in Shoemakersville, Pa. to visit an antique store and all I can say is that it was a most excellent experience. She got a large Stromboli that was absolutely delicious and was so huge that she could only manage to eat about one third of it while I ordered the traditional Veal Marsala which, in itself, was a generous enough portion that I couldn’t finish it either, so we both had plenty to take home for dinner that night. The beer selection is adequate and I also tried a vanilla flavored bourbon they have which I found to be very tasty, too. The owner, Sal, is a very pleasant, congenial, and friendly guy whom we enjoyed talking with while waiting for our meals as he explained the history behind his founding of the restaurant and the renovations he had recently done to it. My only regret is that Fiore’s is 120 miles from where we live or I would most definitely be a regular there. If one ever finds oneself in Shoemakersville and in need of an excellent meal, I highly recommend Fiore's Ristorante Italian Bar & Pizzeria.

It has been many years since I have been to Pizza Como since I no longer live close by. I happened to be in the neighborhood recently and stopped for a sandwich. It was as good as I remembered. They make their own rolls which is a big plus. Most of the area sandwich shops use ATV rolls - which are awful. I got the #3 which had capicola, proscitino (that is what they called it - looked like pepper ham to me), provolone, tomato (2 skimpy anemic pieces unfortunately) and somel small bits of shredded lettuce and onions. I liked that the meat was very thinly sliced but I would have liked a bit more tomato, lettuce and onion. I will definitely get another sandwich if I am in Temple again.

My bf and I both tried the special which was chicken parm, stuffed shells and ravioli. It came with a large salad and garlic bread. I loved the salad which included.sliced cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes croutons and green olives. The meal was good and reasonably priced. My only complaint is the garlic bread they served was a sub roll split open and butter and some seasonings on it. I would rather have bread than a roll.
