We've been here several times now and are very impressed with the excellent service, delicious & approachable menu and excellent cocktails. The Brussel sprouts appetizer is amazing - well cooked in a balsamic vinegar,Calabrian chili oil/honey concoction that keep you wanting more. The home made pastas are spot on as far as texture and quantity, the salmon entrée is always a sure winner, they do a great job on everything. Try the craft cocktail made with whiskey and Earl Gray tea syrup, too, if you enjoy an alcohol drink. The pot de creme dessert is delicious, not overly heavy or pudding-like and comes with a sprinkling of Cocoa Crispies to give it a little crunch. Ample free parking around the building. Highly recommended.

For those who have read some of my other reviews, I'm a New York food snob. I admit it. So.... I preface this review by stating there isn't a single pizza in Chicago that stands up to a good NY pie! Just doesn't happen. That said, for Chicago, I really like Armand's. Nice place to take the family, we love the garlic twists too. Pizza is ok, pretty standard Chicago thin crust style, cut into silly squares so a grown man can eat like he's 7 years old. They are generous with toppings, service is very good and they are rather friendly.

Pizza is always good here. The slices are huge and the flavor is perfect. One of the few pizza places that I enjoy time after time. It's somewhere around $5.50 for pizza and a pop with unlimited refills. The slice is big enough to satisfy any appetite. If you still have room they have great frozen yogurt with all the delicious sides. The service could use some improvement. And it's a really loud and busy place. There seems to be a hangout for the local kids. Definitely one of the top 10 pizza places in Chicago. If your looking for a good quick slice of pizza that's not stale this is it.

We have dined here several times and they have been outstanding experiences. The restaurant is notes for its ambiance, food and its service. Usually outstanding. This past Sunday we went for their brunch with a party of five including a birthday girl. Service and ambiance were outstanding as usual but not so with the food. As an appetizer we ordered a mushroom pizza. Their pizza is thin crust and wonderful. The same for the burger. Not so with the corned beef hash, pasta and French toast entrees.. Pasta was nothing special, the French toast got just a quick dip in egg, and the corned beef hash had one inch square cubes of meat that was difficult to even chew and was left on the plate. We hope to return but not for their Sunday brunch. We know they can do better because they have in the past. What a disappointment.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in our home town for several reasons. Greta menus selection. Very good bread and crisp salads served with all entrees. The food is always served hot timed perfectly. You are not being rushed. Friday nights usually includes music. They update the decor to be pleasing for guests. I also enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice and bringing our dog. Terry is accessible to the guests and appreciative. He is as the owner actually with the guests and the kitchen and bar and accessible?

Lucca's is a delicious and reliable staple for my family when dining out. Over the last five years or so, we've probably eaten here a dozen times—always for dinner and also once hosted my daughter's birthday party dinner here as well. Staff is always friendly and attentive and recognizes that we're repeat customers. We appreciate this. My daughter always had the baked penne which is exceptional. I've had the grilled calamari appetizer, the caprese salad, chicken piccata, chicken limone, and the orrechietti with Italian sausage and rapini, but my hands down favorite is the pasta puttanesca which has a delicious red sauce and the quality of the fish is consistently excellent. We love this place and highly recommend. The bar staff is super friendly too; nice to sit and have an appetizer or a drink after coming off train.
