The Villa's van will drive you to Dubrovnik and back three times daily. Come and you will love it!
Quiet and relaxing.
Reviewed By Jenny AVilla Lanterna is perfect if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. We had fruit and yoghurt every morning followed by a cooked breakfast. The restaurant which is open to the public serves authentic Croatian food. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the sea, which was only a short walk away. There is a restaurant by the beach where you can hire sun loungers but these do not have cushions and are quite uncomfortable. Our only complaint is that it was rather too quiet. The nearest shop is a good 30 minutes walk away. The hotel does run a shuttle bus each morning, but this leaves at 9 o'clock, rather early if you want a leisurely breakfast. Dubrovnik is 20 minutes away by shuttle bus, but there is a 30 minute walk into the Old Town from the drop off point and and the pick up times are not very convenient. If you wish to spend more time there then taxis are plentiful but more expensive. We found a couple of great restaurants within walking distance of the Villa, but there are no bars and nothing going on in the evening. Another point worth mentioning is that the nearest money exchange is in the city, although most places take cards. However, any boat trips, taxis etc have to be paid in cash.

Friendly little B&B on Zaton Bay
Reviewed By GMS97We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The rooms are simple and clean, comfortable for a family of four. The couple who run the villa are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful, tranquil view from the room and the breakfast area. The villa is directly on the water, which is a concrete dock with a few steps down to pebble bottom. You can swim in the bay in front of the villa. There is a bigger pebble beach a couple hundred meters to the left. There are restaurants to walk to in both directions for lunch and dinner. Kayak, SUP, and boat rentals within a 10 minute walk. And you can walk all the way around the bay on a path to see the islands off shore. It was truly a vacation and I hope to return.

Very basic 70’s style hotel with bay view
Reviewed By travelbird_NLMade a late moment Booking. Tried to get in contact with owner, no response. Just went there and called the number on door because nobody answered. Got a sleepy sounding daughter on the line and said her parents were probably sleeping. Had to wait another 10 minutes outside before somebody woke up. Room (small studio apt) was very basic, no renovation since the 70’s, very sober. Shower didnt have fixture so you have to help yourself. Only luke warm water. WiFi so so, very thin blankets. Best part of this hotel is the bay view and the free parking. Wouldnt visit again

Reviewed By Stephen PStayed here for 3 nights while visiting Dubrovnik, which is only 6km away. Much cheaper than staying in Dubrovnik itself. Ideal if you have a car. Free parking at the guest house. The guest house is only 2 minutes walk from the sea The accommodation was fairly basic, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the amenities were as described. (A hair dryer is not included as standard, but was provided free of charge when we asked for one.) No meals are available on site, but a very good breakfast can be purchased for €8 from the owners other guest house which is only a 5 or 10 minute walk along the shore. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Private accommodation at quiet holiday destination with breath taking sunsets 10 minutes from Dubrovnik Old town, near the sea, with private rock beach (with shower, parasols and sun beds) crystal clear sea and beautiful nature. Located in the small village Vrbica (25 km from Airport Dubrovnik) our 3 stars rated apartments are ideal for relaxing in the sound of waves and birds singing. Studio apartments (each for 2-3 persons and separate entrance) are located on the ground floor, nicely furnished and equipped with ceiling paddle fan and air condition. Apartments have, TV/Satellite, WiFi Internet, well equipped kitchenette with coffee machine, toaster and kettle, cookware, cleaning and cooking accessories, and provided with a shower/WC (bathroom). In front of apartment, among flowers and greenery, there's terrace (with garden furniture) that offers picturesque view of the sea and nearby Elaphite Islands. Our guests are free to use large private parking behind the house and garden barbecue. We would be happy also to offer you our home-made extra virgin olive oil, liqueurs and very good red vine; sun beds, sun umbrellas and towels for the beach, and services (surcharge) as: Airport or Main bus station pick up (or other transfers), laundry. In Zaton bay there are several public pebble beaches and the nearest is only 300 m from us. We are really looking forward to meet you here.

Reviewed By Aleksandra KWe loved everything: location, apartament (very clean), beach and owners. When we arrived, Darija told us some useful information about the Dubrovnik. Near the apartament is fish market when you can buy excellent fresh fishes :) The apartament is very close to Dubrovnik, but there is quiet and private. Perfect for a couple - very romantic view :) Beach is amazing for snorkeling - we saw starfishes, a lot of fish, plants etc. I wish we could stay longer.

Reviewed By Marc LDit was ons 2e bezoek aan Zaton en 3e appartement in de regio. Na 1 week de rust van Lopud te hebben ervaren, verbleven wij 1 week bij Vodnica. De ontvangst door de gastvrouw was zonder meer goed te noemen. Ze gaf goede uitleg over de omgeving, vervoer, winkels en voor een bezoek aan Dubrovnik. Wat dat betreft scoren ze wat mij betreft de maximale score. Helaas was het appartement niet helemaal wat wij ervan verwachten. Het woonhuis, voorzien van diverse appartementen lag op 20 meter van de drukke doorgaande weg van Dubrovnik naar Split. Deze weg wordt 24 uur p/d druk bereden wat voor behoorlijk wat overlast zorgt. Volgens diverse beschrijvingen is het appartement voorzien van airco. Wij hadden het 6 persoons appartement, hier was uitsluitend de woonkamer voorzien van airco, de slaapkamers niet. Met nacht temperaturen van +25 graden komt er dan niet veel van slapen. Tevens was er bij westenwind, in ons geval 5 avonden, tot in de vroege ochtend een penetrante brandlucht die doordrong tot in het appartement. Mogelijk was dit afkomstig van een van de restaurants die gebruik maken van houtovens. Regelmatig hadden wij hierdoor last van branderige ogen en hoofdpijn. Het appartement zelf is ruim en schoon, echter wel een beetje gedateerd. De kleine keuken was ingericht met de noodzakelijke apparatuur en uitrusting voor een eenvoudige maaltijd. Voor het buitenleven is het appartement voorzien van een ruim terras met tuinset. Verder waren er meerdere balkons echter zonder zeezicht, parasols of stoelen. Wellicht is dit appartement een goede uitvalsbasis voor een kort bezoek aan Dubrovnik, maar voor een langer verbijf vonden wij het ongeschikt. Alleen al voor de eigenaar had ik gehoopt een hoge beoordeling te kunnen geven, maar helaas vind ik dat beoordelingen objectief moeten zijn.

Reviewed By Renette SWe were 10 South Africans visiting this Villa Gverovic during September 2019. Outside the hustle and bustle, just 10 minutes drive to Dubrovnik Old Town. Owner host was punctual, friendly and accommodating. Very spacious rooms, clean and communal kitchen and patio area worked well for us as a group. Direct access to the water allowed us to have frequent swims in the sea. Magnificent sunsets and sea views with a glass of wine must be experienced. A 15 minute walk to the local shops. Kayaking, swimming and fishing for the energetic ones. Great location to come and relax after a buzzling Dubrovnik tour. We made special memories staying here. Great value for money. We will recommend this Villa to any person who wants to visit Dubrovnik. Thank you

Villa Ana with 9 apartments is only 15m from the beach, you can find terrace with a shade, summer kitchen and all our guests can use the large terraces. Offers comfor and privacy.

Reviewed By Ronald A TWe were part of a REI tour starting here. What a view with the Royal Palms at beachside. We had a balcony over looking the bay. We kayaked to lunch about 4 miles the second morning. The kayaks were launched from a small dock a half block from the hotel. The WiFi was strong and worked well. There was workings AC. The breakfasts were under a pergola covered in vines. The hostess spoke great English. Great restaurants in the area.

Reviewed By draculina2015Bella la struttura anche se ci vuole un mezzo per spostarsi.Non c'e' un frigo in camera ma la signora mette a disposizione un frigo grande sul pianerottolo delle camere.Giù sotto il pergolato c'è uno stendino grande a disposizione degli ospiti.La cosa che non mi è piaciuta è che non rifanno la camera e non cambiano asciugamani.....
