GREAT LOCATION
Reviewed By Yvonne MThis hotel is new. Because its a budget hotel, the rooms are small, no safe or bar fridge. Great choice for a short stay. It does offer standard French breakfast fare for 6 euros each. Very reasonable compared to other hotels offering the same. Staff, friendly and helpful. The location could not be better. You walk across the street, through the park and you are in old Auxerre. Walk to the clock tower. Lovely restaurants on the river front offering good food at reasonable prices. Parking is limited with room for about 8 vehicles which could be a problem in the busy season, but parking is at a premium everywhere.

Reviewed By Biddy_10A perfect stay from A to Z. The "voiturier" expected us when we arrived! A very cosy room looking out to the Yonne river, a very professional, friendly staff at every contact. And the best: the kitchen is outstanding. The "maitre des lieux" and grand chef, J.M. Lorain, waits for you after dinner to know if you truly enjoyed the experience. Well, yes we truly did.

Staff was very helpful and made our dinner reservation at the "White Horse" which is nearby with excellent food. I asked my travel agent to book a "small boutique hotel" so was surprised when a tour bus dropped off a very large and very loud tour group. Travel agent issue but don't expect a quiet hotel filled with couples or families. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown after all the lovely breakfasts we enjoyed during our prior two weeks in France.

Reviewed By lafluteWe stayed overnight hère for a short getaway. What an absolutely delightful place, with SO much character and charm. We were truly enchanted. Our room (" la Couturière", or seamstress) was so nicely decorated, very original, with antiques and lovely spécial touches that reflect the theme. Thé inner courtyard was also gorgeous, with balconies and a large terrasse where you can relax. We'll have to come back when all thé plants are blooming, as it must bé spectacular! Thé restaurant where we enjoyed dinner was very nice, excellent Price/qualité and equally well décorated. Thé terrasse ajoining thé restaurant is beautiful, and we we're able to enjoy a drink there before dinner, and take in thé pictoresque atmosphere. Thé plentiful buffet breakfast thé next day was served in thé beautifully restored stone vaulted cellars. A great way to start thé day. Thé staff we came in contact with we're both friendly and helpful.

Ok, but expensive for a two star hotel
Reviewed By RNPARISThis is a two star hotel with prices that rise to four star levels. Our 20 sqm 'Privilege' room @ €160 faced a service pathway and had no view and little light. Our daughter's 10 sqm standard room @ €110 was tiny with barely any room around the bed. The unbranded almond scented shower gel (no shampoo) sent me running to the shops. Tight covid controls (no self serve buffet breakfast, no maid service unless you leave your windows wide open). Simple cold plate menu with three choices for dinner (cold cuts, fish or veggie). €10 per night supplement for a small dog. All that sounds rather tough perhaps, so I should add that the owners were nice and that the riverside location was charming. It is true that one's expectations change with the pricing and €160 for a dark room with no view was a disappointment. The costs of the sauna and jacuzzi must weigh in although I did not use the facility.

Reviewed By mortimer1995This was truly a great stay. I loved my room - a mixture between old and new, classic and sophisticated, a bit old-fashioned and yet new. My room had a large terrace, which I also enjoyed. The food at the restaurant was excellent. It was truly something different and something exciting. I also loved the breakfast. The young family, running the property, and their staff were very dedicated and friendly. And the location is outstanding, in the middle of the Vallée du Cousin, you spend your nights and days right by the river. Love it. And our four-legged friends are also welcome :-) A big plus! Highly recommended.

Bit strange to arrive with no receptionist or concierge but got the door code in advance, the key was ready and the room / suite for a family of 4 was superb! Lovely large terrace, super rooms, awesome bathrooms and just a lovely feel. And the bed was divine! Lovely stay, wish we could have stayed longer!

Reviewed By zenwoman35The hotel is located in an old building, but the rooms are comfortable enough. The bathroom was fine, and the shower nice and hot. The beds were ok too. We did not take the breakfast, as a coffee and a croissant in town was less than half the price. The location is fabulous, right next to the city gate, going up to the cathedral. Friendly staff.

Located in the Sens Sud commercial district, the hotel has 68 stylish, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI. Access from the Rocade Sud ring road. In a great location just 10 minutes by car from downtown Sens, where you can discover the Palais Synodal, the covered market, or the Maison d'Abraham, a half-timbered house. Decent hotel of the usual Ibis standard
Reviewed By Travel15736941714Hotel was very quiet, in early September. Nice welcome at the desk, and room was as expected - clean and functional, the typical Ibis style and fittings. The hotel is about 4km from the station, so a car is necessary, but for onward travel the location on the ring road is convenient. Not much else to comment - things worked as they should. Would stay again if in the area.
