Staff/ house keeping service not the best and apartment cleanliness not 100% Towels were not replaced by house keeping throughout the whole 3x nights and when reported to Staff, they just looked at us with a blank face.

Reviewed By ScotpiperAll the staff were very pleasant, and we had no trouble with the apartment itself. However, the cleaning regime was haphazard to say the least. We were staying for a month. In the room, a notice informed us there would be no cleaning! Reception told us we would get a “deep clean” every Tuesday during our stay and we could request fresh towels or bed linen in between. First Tuesday, we returned just as cleaner left. We had to run after her to show the marks still on the mirror and coffee table. The second Tuesday, we were left only one hand towel. The third Tuesday, we didn’t get cleaning. They were too busy, they said. After complaint, we were done Wednesday. We left a sticky note on the headboard to clean three weeks dust. The fourth week, they appeared on Monday late afternoon, which was not convenient for us.Nothing was “deep cleaned” . The carpet edges were filthy. The washbasin was only wiped over, soap marks remained. The cleaning staff seemed at best inexperienced or at worst inefficient. The constant trips to reception to request dishwashing tablets, or washing powder, or one more towel, became tiresome.

Reviewed By jackthebagmanFantastic location adjacent to 11 and 86 tram routes. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, I'd especially like to thank Joseph who assisted me with our booking. Housekeeping did a thorough job.

I overheard multiple other guests complaining, for various reasons, throughout my stay - it was like an episode of Faulty Towers! For a hotel out in the middle of nowhere, a significant distance from the city, they need to work so much harder to ensure customers want to return. Shambolic service and a very unpleasant experience.

Unbelievable Value and Excellent Service
Reviewed By step12dudeUnlike most hotels, this property appears to be a conversion of standard residential apartments, and, as such, offers unusual value for a Comfort-branded property. My unit was a complete, two-story two bedroom townhouse unit and came complete with everything needed for a comfortable, self-catered stay. The full kitchen had a standard cooktop, oven, full-sized fridge, and even a dishwasher and came fully equipped with all of the dishes, cutlery needed for cooking meals of any complexity. There was a small WC downstairs, and 2 bedrooms/baths upstairs. A private patio was just outside the living area and parking was nearby. Staff service was excellent throughout my stay. Property is located on a non-descript side street, but just a short walk from the 86/96 tram lines and various bus stops. It's just a short hop to the Melbourne CBD with easy connections to Flinders Street Station, Southern Cross, and the docklands. While I am a solo traveler, this property would be ideal for a small family traveling to Melbourne, offering lots of room and self catering options. Highly recommended.

Very accommodating staff in a nice space
Reviewed By 474sophI stayed in a 6 bed dorm my first couple nights but it was really noisy and curtains weren’t open until around midday so I felt I was tiptoeing around some annoyed guests. I asked to switch rooms and they found me one straight away, gave me new linen & a towel and it was so much better for my remaining few nights. The courtyard and living room were lovely and big. My only issue was it was pretty dirty throughout the hostel and showers were often blocked or didn’t work in the dorm en-suite so sometimes I was having to go up and down the building trying to find a free working bathroom. The hot tap also fell off in my hand once. I reckon this is down to it being such an old building so not totally their fault. Overall happy with my stay at the nunnery

Out of the hub Bub of the cbd but still central.... also a Woolworths nearby for groceries. Having a laundry and kitchenette (it’s not a full kitchen) is very handy It was clean and modern, so why only 3 stars. - the 2 bed units are very very small. They are the same square meterage as most 1 bedrooms I have lived in. Not a problem for a couple of nights but gets squishy after a week - the shower has no seal and the drain is positioned poorly so the bathroom floods every single time you use it. Also not a problem for a few days but because there is no daily housekeeping, I got sick of washing towels that I used to clean up the flooding. - the biggest issue for me was the a/c and the single reason I wouldn’t stay again. There is a/c in the living room but no ducts in the bedrooms. It wasn’t the height of summer when we stayed but still yuck. If you leave the doors open to the living room it’s ok but that defeats the purpose of getting an apartment. The windows open a little but not enough to get a breeze through. I am now staying in a hotel room but prefer it to be honest

Reviewed By Damo00700Paid a large amount of money to arrive and for no one to answer the phone to compete the check in process. And when I say no one answers the phone, I mean for hours. When you’re supposed to be checking in mid afternoon. Still no call - long weekend ruined. If you want to spend your time leaving voice messages to a generic prerecorded voice mail - go ahead. My advice is to save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else.

Reviewed By Jennifer271055Wish I had read the reviews before we booked. It was dirty from the sticky hands rails to the unswept foyer. I spent 10 minutes in the room, only long enough for my husband to call another near by hotel. The room was filthy. I didn’t dare look at the linen. The dust and grim on everything not to mention the smell was overwhelming. Yes we lost our money but I could not stay there. I have travelled extensively and don’t mind a bit of wear and tare and have stayed in some pretty basic places in Europe but non this dirty. I have never walked out of a place before. It might be central but there are a lot of better options in the area.
