Reviewed By sjb2757I’ve stayed at other hotels in the area but this best western has been best. It’s always my first choice but sometimes it’s booked and I have to go elsewhere. The young woman at the front desk was great. We had a lot of fun talking with her. She was very pleasant to deal with.

Reviewed By poodledoopNoisy, people seemed to be congregating on the outdoor walkways and someone came banging on the neighboring room doors at 2:30. Room needed some maintenance- toilet seemed partially plugged when I got there but a couple flushes cleared it up. Sink stopper was missing. Room had an old smoke smell like someone had smoked in it before and the smell lingered, especially near the beds. Bathroom fan was extremely noisy. At least the bed was comfortable and the room was a decent size. Room was decently equipped with a fridge and microwave.

Stained carpets and ceilings, stained sheets, toilet kept running and had to keep fixing plunger, chargers didn’t work, furniture scratched and dented. Didn’t feel clean. I use Hampton Inns often as we are Diamond members and this is by far the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Didn’t seem to care when I complained about toilet. Will never stay again. Poor value.

Reviewed By donaldi936Hotel staff are great! Super friendly and attentive! Location very good. Nearby many restaurants and shopping centers. Very well run property. Clean rooms with amazing service, no need to make special request for room service. Nice indoor pool with hot tub. Breakfast was good, hot and cold fares offered. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back. Thank you Comfort Staff, you were all amazing!

We stayed 2 nights, upon checking in, we went to the 4th floor on a very shady elevator, went in the room and it was freezing, the heater didn't work. Went back down and got another room. We stayed in it, but a light had a burnt out bulb and the bathroom door wouldn't close easily. I just got my credit card statement and they ripped me off $600! It states someone punched the tv and broke it and a cabinet door was broken. Totally false! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!! How many other people do they try to rip off?

A Cut Above The Rest
Reviewed By davidhR3616UMI have been staying in West Springfield for years and years. Mostly on business and now transporting my daughter to UMASS. I have stayed in multiple hotels multiple times in the last 20 years. Unfortunately several of them have gone downhill recently as parent companies seemed to have NOT reinvested in their product. This however is not the case for Candlewood. IHG who owns this property as well as Holiday Inn has done a great job keeping this place up. The rooms are good size, the beds are very comfortable and everything is clean and works the way it is supposed to. I always have a comfortable stay. The price for what you get is very reasonable and the staff is very friendly.

Reviewed By elsL166PTThe ladies at the front desk were helpful and very nice. They tried to accommodate us. So, my complaint is about the horrible conditions of the hotel. First, when I made my reservation (30+ days in advance), I contacted the hotel and inquired about the state of the room due to some of the negative reviews online. I was informed I would be placed in the "new" section of the hotel. When I checked in, I was told the new section was under-maintained. Also, the pool is only open on the weekend (Friday to Sunday). However, the hotel did not post it, nor was I informed during the reservation process. I was given the keys to both of my rooms. We proceeded to our rooms. The hotel hallways are dark (poor lighting) and filthy. The walls are dirty. All the side entrances were full of garbage and dirty. The first room stunk of cigarettes and possibly marijuana. I had to be moved to another room without the nasty smell. However, both of our room AC units look like a safety hazard. The AC units were nasty. My family woke up after two hours due to a persistent cough and did not fall sleep after. We did not have another choice but to stay because, due to college graduations in the area, the rest of the hotels were full. I submitted a complaint and was credit points to the account—NO response from management. Do not stay here.

Reviewed By Raynbow_1323If you want to stay out of crack Hotel then stay here the sheets were dirty and had holes in it the bathroom fan was so loud that we couldn't use the light there was no toiletries even asked for some I didn't get any and their breakfast is really crappy coffee orange juice if u lucky 2 get some and some cheap Walmart granola bars

I found the breakfast staff to be efficient, accommodating and knowledgeable about what they can provide for someone with a dietary restriction. I would definitely stay here again.
