Small, basic, clean
Reviewed By star557799The rooms are small but very clean. Good wifi. The a/c wasn't on yet, but there was a window to open, so the room was comfortable at night. Would be nice to have an electric kettle in the room with coffee/tea setups. The breakfast was fine, but fruit would have been a nice addition. You can bring in food for other meals and eat in the breakfast room.

Reviewed By mrobac526935That was Ok for one night. I stayed one night only, looking for something not too expensive with a reception open late. Some hotels have no reception, and if they are isolated it can be a problem. I did not have a french Iphone.

Reviewed By Destination608020This place is difficult to find, but clean with good breakfast....1 shared table...parking nearby. However, in our room the bathroom was quirky and small, the room was a good size but the beds were really not fitting for a room costing more than E60......old camp style beds with thin foam mattress.......not acceptable. Don't be too seduced about the historical pitch, the owners should really invest more for their client's comfort.

Reviewed By nr870Do not eat in the ‘restaurant’ - not only are you facing main road traffic, the food is about the standard you would expect in a 2nd rate European bar, greasy, overcooked, small portions, and barely even recognizable as per overblown descriptions on menu. The rooms themselves are barely even ibis quality and all for an overpriced rate. Find something better, which wouldn’t be hard.

The Maison du Canal is a B&B just in front the Canal du Midi, in the village of Villeneuve lès Béziers.You can reach the beachs (8 km), the airport of Béziers (9 km), the city of Béziers and its TGV station (6 km).Villeneuve lès Béziers is a typical village of the south of France, with its quiet little streets. You can find there many restaurants.In our old house, we have 3 rooms, from 1 to 4 persons. The bedrooms are quiet and each has a private bathroom (shower) with wc.

Nathalie (our hostess - French but speaks perfect English) helped us to get it jump started again - coming out into the bitterly cold weather, using her car.... We were extremely grateful! The accommodation is dog friendly. Walks along the canal are wonderful. Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was superb. An additional bonus for wine lovers: they sell good quality wine!

Reviewed By Ligia JI have read some of the good reviews and frankly, maybe if one is looking at 2 star bed and breakfasts, this might be considered one of the better ones, but it DEFINITELY is NOT anything more than that. I don't want to say much, except that the airconditioning unit of the next building kept me up all night! And the owners were not wearing masks, and when I asked the lady if there was a reason why she wasn't (although there is a big sign in the village square that tells wearing masks at all times is mandatory) she just shrugged and said they do not wear them and not everybody does! Enough said.

Reviewed By crownriseExpected air con -in reality a ceiling fan that goes off when you turn the lights off! Clean but in need of total redecorating and bring up to 21st century. My room smelt of cigarettesome, the shower leaks and not staying for breakfast as too expensive.

Reviewed By ekkehart2022We had a very good night at Campanile Chalon sur Saone. The entree with Mr. Mbaerek was absolutely perfect, the reservated groundfloor room (we have 2 dogs) was wonderful cooled down and spaceful, fully eqipped. All about the petite dejeuner was perfect. Everytime again.
