Reviewed By N_Racing56Staff was friendly and service was very good. Breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn and Suites style that you would expect. The building was older but they did update it. The water pressure out of the faucet was terrible as it was tough to clean my razor to shave. Other wise it was a nice place.

Reviewed By 215christinawLocation was great. amazing view of the river at night. room was clean and the bed was comfy. bathroom was perfect. roof top bar and restaurant was a lot of fun. food and drinks were delicious. its a bit pricey but that is to be expected. This will be my go to place when coming to Toledo in the future. I also have to mention Garret, Brad, Damon and all the rest of the valet staff were amazing. shared great suggestions on were to go and made sure we got to the art museum and back. really nice guys.

Decent Choice for Passing Through Toledo
Reviewed By anonymoustravelThe best thing about this hotel is the location: right off the highways and walking distance or couple minute drive to everything from stores, places to eat (try First Watch for breakfast!), even an urgent care. Staff are friendly and hotel is clean. Also there's an indoor pool, other amenities, nice seating areas in the reception. The main downside was the automatic A/C which blares out cold or hot so temperature was never comfortable. Also, I was shocked to see styrofoam plates at breakfast, so harmful for the environment, I haven't seen those kinds of plates for years! On that note, breakfast has four hot items (like sausage, eggs), and the basics like a couple of options of fruits, yogurt, cereal, breads, etc. They are known for the hot fresh cinnamon rolls. Overall the hotel has a "tired" feeling to it which is a surprise given how new it is, but maybe it's the post-Covid weariness.

Reviewed By Donna MOur stay was disappointing from beginning to end. We asked for extra pillows and towels which we had to go get ourselves. The room was not clean and air conditioning was broken. The Bistro, which was part of why we chose this place, was only open in the morning as far as we could tell. I was looking forward to having a cocktail without having to drive anywhere afterwards but couldn't. All but one staff member we encountered was rude, even though it wasnt busy at the time. The whole experience was disappointing. If we go back to visit our son again, we'll probably stay at the Hampton or Holiday Inn Express right next door.

Reviewed By DrStangThere was pubic hair in the sheets of my bed and on my bathroom towels. I had a reservation made several weeks earlier and was entitled to come at around 10 pm when I arrived. I didn't need to get a harassing call to see if I was still coming so they could give my "last room" to someone else. The microwave and the refrigerator did not work. The refrigerator had one setting- freezing. My sodas were frozen solid in the morning. The microwave would not work at all. I couldn't cook the food I had saved for breakfast. The front desk had no idea of how to get the microwave to work and refused to do anything about it. I wrote a nasty review on their survey. I got an obviously prefabbed response from Red Roof Inn Corporate and from the Front Desk. They promised to "make some changes". Yeah- right- all you care about is that you got my money. That's the last money you will get from me. Do not even think of staying in this filthy, disgusting place. If I could give this place a zero on this site, I would. I gave them a zero on the Red Roof Inn Questionnaire. There are plenty of other, more reputable hotels in this area. If my travels for business take me there again, I will stay at one of them - not Red Roof Inn. I hope that my review prevents someone else from having the nasty experience that I had. Also - it was nonsmoking in theory- but people could smoke like fiends outside of the rooms. You may as well have been in a smoking room as the smoke easily permeated the doors and walls of the room.

Went to our rooms and they were still uncleaned at 4:30 in the afternoon. Breakfast was poor and not enough for as many peoplestaying there that weekend.

Cheap and Friendly, but Below Average
Reviewed By koryklotzI’ve stayed at this property twice now. The first stay in 2021 was fairly uneventful. No breakfast because of the pandemic, but breakfast had returned this visit. At 7:30am Saturday morning, the food was largely picked over, so I would recommend getting to the lobby early if you want to take advantage of the free breakfast. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind. You will need to carry any luggage up the stairs if your room is not on the ground floor. Beds were comfy, staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the property was located in a convenient location for what we needed. We were competing in a mini golf tournament at Par 2 Golf, basically walking distance down the street. Overall, however, the area itself isn’t exactly great. Because there are several strip clubs and rundown buildings nearby, it can get a little sketchy after the sun goes down. There are plenty of good food options nearby. The Mexican restaurant (Cinco De Mayo) across the street was very good, Sideline Sports Bar down the street also had very good bar food. Also stopped at Big Slice Pizzeria and enjoyed that as well. Kudos to the hotel staff for the recommendation! I will say that this visit in particular was disappointing from a cleanliness perspective. When we first got to our room, a used towel was still hanging from the bathroom door, a razor cover was laying in the shower/tub, and there was soggy macaroni in the bathroom sink. The cleaning crew did a great job Saturday morning, as the room looked immaculate when we returned later that day. Sunday morning as we were preparing to leave, we did have a cockroach run across one of the walls. I was able to smash him, but I did feel a little uneasy as I was packing the rest of my things. I did not bother complaining to the staff, as we were checking out anyway. I also booked on a travel site, so there really isn’t a lot that can be done. I did leave a note in the room next to the carcass so the cleaning staff would find it. Overall, staff was excellent, price was decent, amenities were ok, area and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. If you need a cheap room, there are definitely worse places to stay. But if you can afford to spend a little extra on your stay, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Biggest Week in Birding
Reviewed By 926carolecMy husband stayed here for two nights during the Biggest Week in Birding Festival. We were disappointed in the facilities and service. We checked in late on a Friday and the woman behind the desk was on her cell phone while checking us in and barely said 10 words to us. She did mention there was no smoking in the hotel (marijuana included) and yet the whole place smelled like weed. The hallways were filthy and a smoke detector was chirping non stop. The room was OK. Nothing great. We went to breakfast at 7 am when it was supposed to be served but nothing was set up and the woman in the kitchen was rude and said "it would be a minute". It was longer than that and we had to leave so we were unable to eat. Really poor facility. Stay away.

The staff were friendly and efficient and all three staff members we dealt with (Tina, the late night counter person, and the day manager) all went out of their way to assist us when we ran into an unrelated travel snag. They truly wanted to help us in any capacity they could - Thank you!! The rooms were clean and the breakfast hot and plentiful. We plan to make this our regular stop on our way to and from Florida.

Reviewed By Road21572053361Brand new hotel. The renovation looks amazing, very clean with great rooms. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The restaurant attached Napa was great. We will definitely be staying here again.
