Questionable surroundings
Reviewed By Charlie MMarriott gave this Fairfield a 4.1 rating which was a better rating than some of their other properties in Texarkana. The hotel may be OK, but the area surrounding it was such that I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my car in the parking lot, I booked a room at another Hotel and never went in. Unfortunately, since I arrived after 6pm, a refund was not available.

Worst Hampton Ever!
Reviewed By 320cricket211This was the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. We are Hilton Honors members and always choose Hampton Inns when we travel. The room we stayed in was disgusting. The carpet and sofa were stained and looked very dirty. The shower had black mold and wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the bathroom. The lampshade was covered in stains. I took pictures and will be sharing them with the Hilton Corporation. This is not what we expect when we choose a Hilton Property!

Worst IHG experience

I even called to confirm the next day when I didn’t get another email and told I was all set. I arrive past 11pm and after a 7+ hour drive only to be told that my reservation was cancelled and they are booked full. I was told by Kim that she would have the manager contact me about a refund. Days go by, no call. Called the hotel again and was told once more that they will call me back. A few days go by and no call AGAIN. Call once more and am basically told that the manager has no intention of calling me back. This is completely inexcusable and the worst experience I have had. Management should not behave this way. This hotel does not deserve your time or money.

Reviewed By Ceg100309Room was very spacious and smelled so CLEAN. Also sheets was so crispy and bed was so soft. We looked around and found the gym. Also very spacious and a lot of options to workout with. Laundry is right next to gym so workout while doing laundry ☺️☺️☺️ Bbq was small but still nice. Parking lot was very clean and lite up. Felt safe to walk my puppy. They are pet friendly too. We were there just one night but still enjoyed.

Reviewed By Broncogrl85We were passing through heading back to Austin. Stayed here - the hotel is in the process of being renovated. We had a King Suite and it was really comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Lynda is in charge of that and she was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again.

Travelers Beware of this Wyndham!

Never again will I trust the photos Wyndham posts for their facilities, and will never trust to book ahead...heck, this experience has turned us off Wyndham hotels entirely! The grounds are weedy and unkempt. The lobby is dark, cluttered, and unwelcoming. But the rooms, by far, are the most tragic aspect of the hotel during our experience! Chipped drywall, rust stains in the toilet, unknown stains/drips/spills everywhere, torn furniture/lamp shades, and just a stale musty odor that permeates everything! Here's the best (worst!) part of the story - the attendant at the front desk neglected to tell me that the water would be shut off for "about an hour". (So said the haphazardly handwritten sign in light pink highlighter I noticed on the counter AFTER we had checked in and were carrying in our bags from the car! After reading another review on this site, the “about an hour” seems to have ended up being more like 4 hours!) The only good thing I can say about our experience is that, after waiting in our room for an hour with still no water, the attendant understood our finding the accommodations unacceptable and that we were leaving, and the charge for the room did not get processed.

Not up to snuff
Reviewed By travelthinkPlatinum elite here. Second time stay not as great as first one 30 days ago, which was more than acceptable then. This property is set back into a wooded area but convenient to shopping and restaurants. Pretty quiet. Some of the rooms are really beaten up. New carpeting and clean furniture would be a plus. And, as with many of the older properties, the bathrooms are in need of updates. Internet sketchy and tv service unreliable. It’s obvious that frequent Inspection for quality control is not happening as maintenance is lacking. After third try, I was given a room with everything functional and not next to the elevator. Management made up for the issues with points which was appreciated. Won’t stay here again and would recommend avoiding.

Not what I expected from a Marriott Brand
Reviewed By WanderlustingDivaWe reserved these rooms due to having a death in the family and wanted to be close to Hope and Fulton Arkansas and wanted to be in a Marriott hotel. I want to just start off by saying the staff is wonderful and customer service is excellent. That being said.. the rooms are DIRTY. I don’t even know where to start. The beds : the bed skirts have not been cleaned or washed in years. There is built up dust, dirt and grime on each bed skirt. The bathroom: these need a complete overhaul. Behind the door on the floor is dusty and grime. The tub is dated and dirty. The grout is dirty between the tile and there is mold growing in areas. The tubs need to be refinished. The shower curtain is molded. We didn’t even bother to shower and just washed up in a tub. I have never stayed in a Marriott that was this disgusting. The kitchen: the fridge on the outside is nasty and has a layer of grease on it. The ovens haven’t been scrubbed and has layers of grease on it as well. The counters were layered with grease. We had to scrub down the surfaces as well as Lysol everything. The carpets: wear shoes. The sheets: the top comforter was super dirty Lysol and soap will be your friend. Outside : guests did not pick up their dog poop. And it was large piles right by the doors. It smells horrible . Overall an outside cleaning company needs to come in and do a deep cleaning ASAP. Corporate or who ever owns this location needs to do a room by room walk through and see what needs to be cleaned or updated. I’ve been a loyal Marriott customer for years. However these locations in Arkansas overall need help. It was similar to the one In Little Rock as well. Please please get this hotel deep cleaned .
