Top 10 hotels in Surfers Paradise, Australia

August 10, 2022 Mikaela Didonna

The aptly-named Surfers Paradise is just that—a haven for those who pay homage to the gods of the sea by attempting to become one with the waves. The beach here is a golden stretch of soft sand that provides the perfect ambiance for a day of catching waves, catching a Frisbee or just catching some rays. Refuel at one of Surfers Paradise's 150 restaurants and cafes, or hit a Northside day spa to soothe your surf-weary muscles and smooth your sun-kissed skin.

Rhapsody Resort

Drawing inspiration from the sea, Rhapsody’s designers have created a dynamic beachside apartment address. A sophisticated architectural statement reminiscent of grand vessels from a bygone era. A building of two distinct architectonic elements encased in a dramatic corten steel street level hull, destined to become the signature of the Surfers North precinct in Surfers Paradise, Australia.

A nice home away from home

Reviewed By Amymiaomiao

This is a nice and cozy resort for holiday stay, home away from home. There are a number of things that I love about Rhapsody: 1. Daily housekeeping service to keep the apartment nice and shine everyday and we came back with clean towels. 2. The king size bed in master room is so huge and comfortable. 3. Lovely sea view plus water view at the back 4. Parking is provided for which is essential as it is hard to find on Surfers Paradise 5. The front desk is friendly and always helpful 6. Kids’ room is also lovely and the kids enjoyed their own little space. I just love staying at Rhapsody resort each time we go to Gold Coast. It is a second home for us. Thank you!

Top notch views

Our stay at the Q1 was breathtaking from the moment we could see it in the distance as we drove across the Qld/NSW border. Reception service was friendly and efficient. Our booking was 2 x 2 bedroom Ocean Spa apartments, which we were told would be allocated to use the same lift and our cards activated so that we could travel between floors. When we arrived, we had been assigned different lifts but the staff quickly offered to remedy this. We decided it wasn't a big deal as one family would have a higher floor and better view. In hindsight, the same lift would have been better as some of us experienced a bit of vertigo which we think was due to the frequent trips from floor 36 to the lobby and then straight back up to floor 49. The lifts were quick, we didn't have to wait long even at peak times. The indoor pool and Longboards were a great addition to our stay. All common areas were always clean. Our room, 3604 had doors quite close to the lifts. We were pleasantly surprised when there was zero lift noise during the entire stay. The room was huge and the highlight would have had to have been that killer view. 270 degrees with views of Stradbroke Island to the North and down to Coolangatta to the South. The sunsets had us up early, even though there were blockout blinds but we were glad to witness them. Big frosted glass sliding doors to each bedroom meant that the sunlight came in early and it was quite warm. Being able to open up the balcony doors and windows meant it was always comfortable with the breeze flowing through. Everything was clean and the apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry. A short walk into surfers paradise meant we always had something to do and the convenience store, BWS and takeaway shops downstairs were handy.

Stayed in Tower 1 Residence, Room 1-2505 3 bedrooms with my 82yo Mother and brother for 5 days. Celebrated my Mother’s birthday. They arranged for Sparkling wine and petit fours awaiting in the apartment. The view was breathtaking! The apartment was huge, modern and clean. Customer service at every touch point throughout the hotel was phenomenal! Delicious In-Room dining available, can also order via Hilton app. Location is handy and central to everything. Tram to e.g. Broadbeach/Pacific Fair Mall/ Q1 Tower/Marina Mirage is located directly behind Hilton. Can buy tram tickets at the Customer service booth at this tram stop. Use the secure back entrance for short cut to the tram. River cruises available, only 5 mins walk, cut through Cavill Circle. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants in all directions. Buffet breakfast has great selection, open as early as 7am on Level 1 Catch Restaurant - great barista coffees and omelettes to order. Special mention to the lovely ladies serving us always with big smiles. We splurged and booked facials at Eforea spa Level 2, was devine! The lovely ladies here took great care of Mum and I, we were able to book the Couples room. We had great weather, warm during the day and cool at night. The 3 lifts were fast and always available whenever we used them. Hardly anyone other than us in the lifts. Visit the Night Markets at Surfers Paradise beach Mon/Weds/Fri nights starts 4pm. This was a wonderful holiday. Plenty things to do. No Covid restrictions whatsoever. We can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful experience

Reviewed By D D

I stayed two nights at the hotel and the experience was amazing. Accommodation was one of the best I have experienced. The king bed room was large, had great views and was refurbished to a very high standard, with attention paid to getting everything right (room includes a coffee machine and high quality hair dryer). The bed, bedding and pillows ensured a great sleep. Everyone I engaged with (from check-in, restaurant service, room service) offered the highest level of service. I also loved the food, from the breakfast buffet to room service, was fabulous. If you are looking for an enjoyable break, well worth considering a stay here. Will definitely be back.

Breakfast buffet

Voco breakfast buffet is a good all-round buffet for any pallet welcoming staff with beautiful decor and clean tables. Chef can cook your eggs the way you want them and they have their own honey bees and offer you up fresh honey from the Combe. My only suggestion would be to have butter available at the pancake stand and whipped cream and have the pancakes a bit warmer.

Lacklustre at best

Reviewed By SydneyFlash

This was surprisingly poor for a Novotel. Check in is encased in plastic screens - more like a correctional facility - though staff were friendly. Lacklustre foyer bar with limited selection of drinks and staff who seem to have no idea what they are doing shuts at 8pm - which is a real problem when the surrounding area is dominated by rowdy nightclubs and dingy bars, so a retreat within the hotel after dark would have been welcome. Room was large but decor owes a lot to plastic. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom sparse. The breakfast wasn't worth getting out of bed for - very poor for this type of hotel. Overall this is a two and a half star experience and not something I would associate with the Novotel brand.

Great hotel

Reviewed By Tiicky

This is my 5th time staying here. Some times it can get a little loud on a weekend night because of the atmosphere of thew general area but the room itself is clean and spacious, facilities both in and outside of the room exceed expectations, staff are lovely, bed is sooooo comfortable (I have a really bad back) and the location is phenomenal with parking and the ability to walk to got food/coffee or just be entertained within a few minutes of your hotel.
