Reviewed By Vic GWe came here after disappointedly having to abandon our originally chosen hotel, as they weren’t serving dinner on a Sunday, even though we’d checked this before arrival. This hotel was therefore our second choice. The building is very well located, right overlooking the vast beach. It does have a slight 50s feel in style. The room overlooked the beach, too and was warm, in spite of a near gale roaring outside. The food was enjoyable, the service attentive and there is a good wine list. In October, at least, you can park right outside the door.

Nice touches like sweets for children, coffee available at all times and decent breakfast included. Well done! Pet-friendly too. Only down-side is that the parking is very limited.

Very enjoyable second visit
Reviewed By JAHhotels1964This was our second trip to Les Corderies, which is a lovely modern hotel with fantastic views. We stayed in a Stunning View room, on the first floor of the spa annex. The views are indeed stunning from the Juliet balcony. The room design is very stark, which makes the view the focus. The bed was super king size and comfortable. The shower room and separate loo were very nice, with good toiletries. We had great weather, so enjoyed a drink in the garden both evenings - more great views over the estuary and lovely surroundings. We also enjoyed a late evening Calvados in the garden, with lovely service from the lady who was also working on the reception. Our only quibble was that we found the dinner to be overpriced. With starters at about €18 and mains at €39, we were expecting some great things. In fact, my cod and my partner’s steak dishes were not very special. Nothing to warrant a complaint at the time, but disappointing. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of continental options and some enticing looking cake.

It was just an overnight stay this time to break our journey back to the Eurotunnel.The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and a good breakfast is served in a light and pleasant dining room. The decor tends towards the functional but everything is very modern with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The public car park is right outside and the receptionist at the hotel will give you an all day parking ticket for 5 euros. Pay a little extra and get a room overlooking the Baie - it's well worth it.

Reviewed By heatheragrayI was a bit disappointed with the hotel. The room had a lovely view but it was quite small and the curtains needed attention also the bathroom steamed up as no ventilation. The breakfast was dull and couldn’t make a good cup of tea as there wasn’t boiling water.

Reviewed By Rob MThis hotel is not as close to the city center as suggested. A firm 20 minutes walk is needed. The hotel does not have parking spaces and refers to public parking, that is located at the railway station. If you have big suitcases this parking is too far away. The rooms are tiny, with the bed against the wall so you can only get out on one side. Positive is that the room has air conditioning. The breakfast is cheap but too simple. No meat, cheese, or eggs. Coffee is bad. Although the hotel, is not expensive, I cannot recommend it.

Be careful, a sanitary pass is necessary from August 9th 2021. Mercure Amiens Cathedral, is situated right in the town center, at 100 meters from the wellknown Cathedral, Rooms with cathedral view or overlooking the quiet patio. Lounge, bar and restaurant. Mercure Amiens has been labelised AllSafe concerning sanitary measures aginst Covid 19. The restaurant could be closed a few days during August and September 2021: take information at reception.

Reviewed By src1948Nice little hotel, with friendly staff, in a quiet street. No onsite parking but easy to unload outside and then drive round the corner to a large underground public car park. On leaving it was easier to wheel our cases to the car park. Rather basic looking and soulless restaurant, but a good dinner and very good breakfast choice Nice Privilege room with comfortable bed (with sockets ) and good lighting. Large TV with BBC and CNN. Really tiny bathroom and equally tiny separate WC. Shower OK. Impressive cathedral view from 4th floor room with minute balcony, though partially obscured by modern building opposite.
