Reviewed By lijeestrellanesSo it's quite some years since I logged in to my account so I forgot to take a lot if pictures of the place but it was good the problem though is the stairs its so tiring to walk up and down but overall great customer service and cheerful staffs and very helpful esp "small boy" nickname of one of their staff. He carried all our luggage from the parking lot up to our room. So to sum it all up Pros: Privacy is best (we stayed on their most expensive room) "whale shark“ Great staff Safe parking space Good food Good attitude of the owner himself he gave as a discount because we upgraded our room due to the distance of our first room to their amenities Cons: Not recommended for elderly due to the terrain of the place Limited Tv channels Limited wifi (they have a technical issue at the time of our visit) Have some sharp rocks on the beach area but its natural you can't do anything about it Can't bring outside food

I got the jungle-beach-bungalow Bongo Bongo, which is absolutely fantastic with my own elephant in the bedroom among loads of other decorations. Then the zebra-bathroom!!! The sunsets from the porch. The Amazing rest of the resort with all the fantasy-rooms and buildings. WOW! The restaurant and the MENU - best in the Phillipines, I gained a few pounds here. Thank You Kathy, Karl, Anette and staff, Salamat po!! PS. and thanks Kathy for the Cardamom, the Glögg is brewing :-))

Comfortable and very clean rooms with choice of native style: 2 Big Bamboo Cottages with air condition and private bathroom, 4 Bamboo Cottages with fan and private bathroom, 4 Nipa Huts with fan and shared bathroom, Dorm and Family dorm with shared bathroom, All bathroom with hot/cold shower Dorm. Restaurant bar offering great selection of food freshly cooked. Weddings and other celebrations can be arranged. Beautiful beach with blue waters. Amazing nature, plenty of activities: trekking, cave exploring, scuba diving, snorkeling, island hoping, picnics, kayaking, volley ball.

Reviewed By Darla MThe beach is great and there is so much to do on the island. We went island hopping and snorkeling in the shipwreck and coral reefs, cave exploring, and cliff jumping all in one day! The food was amazing too. I had the best burger of my life. The best part is that the people are super friendly and fun. The owner is super accommodating. He even toured us around himself. 10/10 would come back for that alone.

Sugar Lounge is situated at the seafront and welcome you to have a cosy stay. We have a Restaurant and a Bar and serve different food and drinks.

Homey and Cozy Stay
Reviewed By Frejmir17I never imagined for such a small place to be cozy. I felt comfortable staying here since it was peaceful around and not too crowded. I would've like it better though if they do something about the slow internet and cable tv situation. All in all, I would recommend this place. If you're looking for a budget friendly place but aren't willing to sacrifice comfort, I recommend this place to you. It's at the side of the busy part of the city but shops and restaurants are still nearby. Ideal place for people who want to relax. The staff were nice and accommodating, too. Staying here was worth it. P.S. I recommend the breakfast meal tosilog sold at the canteen!

Reviewed By michaelbY3732KZHotel room was large enough for 4 adults and 2 children. Warm water for showers was wonderful. Pool was nice and maintained. Meals were tasty although a little slow. The atmosphere was nice and they were very accommodating. They can coordinate pump boat island hoping rides, however I don't recommend unless you bring earplugs, the boats are VERY loud.

Reviewed By Ross TThis is an interesting and enjoyable venue with the added advantage of a gourmet shop and fashion shop on site. Also a nice alfresco area to sit by the fish pond and have a coffee. A range of rooms from a small apartment to dorms. Close to the Ceres bus terminal.

The resort is located 10 steps from the "sugar beach" and has 3 independent rooms with air conditioning and bathroom with hot shower. The restaurant offer an authentic Italian food and also Asian dishes as Thai and Filipino food and a lot of good drinks as fresh juices, wines, tropical cocktails and craft beers made in Philippines. You can enjoy with us your breakfast, lunch and dinner and merienda. Sugar Beach is a paradise for those who love the sea and swim, the sand under the sea is pure without sea urchins and stones, it's definitely the best beach for swimming in the Philippines. Furthermore, the scenario that frames the beach is wonderful, with tropical hills that end up in the sea. There are many beautiful diving and snorkelling sites around like in Danjugan and Turtle island and outdoor activities like island hopping, kayak, trekking, bays and white beaches. A very good diving center is located just 2 minutes walking from the us.

Reviewed By Cupcake707I’m going to start this off by saying that I’m easy to please. The room was fine. Wouldn’t expect more for the price. Didn’t really get the idea that the “restaurant” was an option, so don’t get any big ideas on eating there. I saw a worker in the dining area once, in 48 hours, but she was doing laundry. No wifi. No hot water. That’s all fine, as well. I’m just really not a fan of false advertisement. If you have luscious designs on sitting on the beach and watching the waves roll in, bring a towel. There is one seat, under a palapa roof with a hole in it. You probably won’t be able to sit in the one seat though, because the employee was holding it down quite a bit, since It’s the only place on the property with any phone reception. I had some important things to tend to at home, is the only reason I cared about being able to use my phone. Literally every other place on the beach has some sort of seating/dining area/something/anything with sea view access. I mean, who doesn’t want to sit comfortably, and watch the sunset? I paid for four nights here. I left after two. ONLY because I arrived just at dark the first night, and didn’t find the next AMAZING spot until late afternoon the next day. I have provided a photo of the sea view seating.
