Unique and good situated, our hotel is an ancient typical farm house from the Engadine with view to the lake of Sils. The house and guest-rooms are mostly arranged with stone pine-wood. The "Courtins" family, owner since two generations gave a very personal touch with a large opening bar-chimeney hall, a wonderful garden with terrace and a nice dining-room with view to the lake of Sils, just as the cosy "Stuvetta" for offer you some specialities like cheese-fondue or bourguignonne, raclette or a charcoal mixed grill.

Reviewed By Gabriela TLadies ski weekend would not be the same without the amazing Hotel Park Margna. All from check in to check out was smooth sailing. The devils is in the detail and this place nailed it. We felt welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel, our room was huge, with heated floors, two balconies, cleaning service 2x a day. Life pianist both during breakfast and dinner. Great breakfast including juicer station where you can pick your own veggies and fruits and do fresh right on the spot it just one of those little things that breaks this place apart from other places I have been too. Very warm, always smiling, welcoming stuff from cleaning ladies, to waitresses to the managers. There is nothing negative. Cant wait to come back. Can only recommend it to everybody although I wish this would be my little secret :) When visiting St Moritz region this is the place to be.

Reviewed By 483vaniecThe stay in this hotel was quite a disappointment. The services provided were worse than in many 3 star hotels I visited this season. I was looking forward for 3 things: nice dinner, relax in wellness after skiing, energizing breakfast. The dinner was ok-ish but nothing exceptional. Spa was rather a disaster due to lack of management in the facility: guests were not sure where nude zone is and where swimming suit or bathrobe is requested, similarly rules about masks were not clear to most guests. Hence instead of relaxing, one has to listen to arguing people being lectured by a lady who tried to put things in order. And breakfast... I would not expect to be served a juice from rotten oranges in 4 star hotel. But ok, it can happen. But staff arguing about it instead of apologizing without questioning guests is a no go. Hence, I was not really surprised when I was asked for credit card details (to be sent via email) to arrange for payment for shipping costs to have a forgotten item shipped to my address (all this hassle for few bucks). Never again!

The Chesa Pool was built in 1585 and its charm has lasted through the centuries to the present day. The Chesa Pool counts 19 rooms of a special kind: from a historical suite to comfortable double rooms. As you cannot reach us by car, we offer a free shuttle service trice a day at fixed hours. Alternatively you can reach the hotel walking through the gorge path in about 20 minutes. Please note that this is a partly steep forest path and not illuminated at night. Another very nice option is to book a horse-drawn carriage, the best way to enjoy this beautiful environement.

I could not walk 3 km in freezing temperatures and was forced to drive my car into the no access road. The manager the next day let me found a 100 Fr fine on my car. Never ever book this place. Pretty inconvenient and awful management.

Great hotel in lovely Sils Maria
Reviewed By Kathy KWe really liked this hotel and would return on our next trip to Sils Maria. We stayed 4 nights in July, room #410 which for us was perfect. It was a very large, modern room, comfortable bed and large bathroom. Lots of closet space to hang up clothes. No balcony but that was fine. Staff (particularly front desk but really everyone) were excellent, provided us with good information on where to hike and things to do. Breakfast was ample with great choices. We ate in the restaurant 3 of the 4 nights and it was very good. Sils and the surrounding area is just beautiful, and this was our favorite place on our month long trip.

Pleasant stay in Engadin
Reviewed By photo_lenkaWe have stayed at Hotel Seraina's 2 1/2 room appartement (north) for one week. The hotel has a lovely Engadin feel, with a pleasant wooden interior and many typical decorations. Lovely place, very quiet, good sleep. Enough space. The closet is in fact a space under the roof, our children loved it. Nice bathroom with free toiletries. To get to this appartment, you may use the lift but after that you still have to walk through the corridors and use the stairs (we didn't mind it, the corridors are so lovely decorated so I have enjoyed it every time). When staying at Seraina, you get a guest card which makes it possible to travel through Engadin for free (including all the cable cars, bus and train). We have used it every day, saving a lot of money. There is a bus stop just a minute from the hotel and changing to train at St. Moritz only takes two or three minutes, very efficient. A supermarket is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a private subterranean parking garage with an entrance on the other side of the street which is a private part of a larger garage. Tip: don't forget your flash light, the garage light switches off automatically and in the private part there are apparently no sensors so you can easily find yourself in a complete darkness. When leaving, we have got two little walnut tarts - very nice!

Heaven on Earth
Reviewed By HGTLondonOn this occasion, I visited the Hotel Fex as a solo traveler and spent a week there. I must say that the Fex is one of my favourite properties in the world, and the Fex Valley is heavenly. This is why I chose to spend my precious week there. The hotel itself is wonderful and old fashioned in all the right ways. It is not pretentious in the slightest. The staff are a now to be around and are examples of the best of Swiss hospitality. The rooms are lovely, the views magnificent and the delicious food, all bio and local, is a special treat after long days walking in the mountains.

Our house is situated on the border of Lake Sils. It is built in typical Engadine style and provides a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. You can enjoy a unique view of the mountains and spectacular sunsets on the Lake. In the garden you can sit in a deckchair and relaxing. Our guests appreciate the light and fresh Italian food in our new restaurant and the proximity to many beautiful walking paths and the near bus stop (in front of the hotel) which takes you to the cable-railway Corvatsch/Furtschellas and back, free of charge in winter.
Cross-Country Skiing
Reviewed By Jason MWe stayed in this hotel for just under one week for the purpose of cross-country skiing in the wider area. The staff at the hotel prior to our arrival were very helpful in agreeing to a later check-in due to us arriving by train in the evening. Upon arrival the welcome was warm from the staff and check-in progressed smoothly. We had a standard double room which had a view to the side of the hotel. A quiet side road was overlooked, but in the distance could clearly be viewed beautiful mountains. The room was compact, but in very good repair and was also very clean. The bathroom presented well and appeared to have been recently re-fitted. The room was consistently warm, with good control of the radiators possible. We ate in the restaurant and this served good food, although as with everything in Switzerland, the price was comparatively high. The hotel is virtually ski-in/ ski-out from a cross-country standpoint, with a trail starting almost directly at the front of the hotel, which in turn links to a particularly extensive network. Ski storage was decent, with a well-appointed room in the basement for boots and changing, including heated boot racks. However, skis and poles are stored in a separate building adjacent to the hotel. This arrangement is functional, but perhaps a little unusual and the steps down to the ski and pole storage room can be very slippery, meaning that significant care if required. The hotel has a small but perfectly formed spa area, which includes a sauna, one-person plunge pool and showers, as well as a relaxation room. The spa area is clearly of its time, but is in good repair and with a pleasant tile and wood interior is timeless in its style. This hotel represented a pleasant contrast to St. Moritz, which despite being a destination for those who are exceptionally wealthy, contained little of interest to us. The exception was the fact that some cross-country trails run right through the centre, which was an interesting experience, while the city swimming pool is exceptionally good. I would certainly stay at this hotel again and would recommend the village of Sils Maria, where the hotel is located.

Unique atmosphere
Reviewed By Nico_H7788I was there in April 2021 and plan on going again in April 2022. The hotel has a unique atmosphere, somehow very suitable for writers and philosophers. Here you can really find peace and relax. The food is good and overall you get great value at this hotel for what you pay. The Spa is modern and very pleasant. I much appreciated the personal welcome and goodbye from the owner (Mr. Dietrich). Gym is existing, but a bit small. The only critique here is that the staff in the hall (lobby) could be more attentive. Especially some of the young men employed as waiters. Sometimes they seem not to be keen on serving another young man who is guest at the hotel…. Apart from that, full recommendation for this hotel!

We did not want to leave... the perfect hotel in Sils
Reviewed By Pawel_Lon_N1We initially planned to stay for one week but ended up extending and staying for two... An authentic hotel in the old part of Sils, next to the trail head to Fex Valley. It has all you want from a great, small hotel - cosines, intimacy, quiet, attentive staff that make an effort to know your name after a couple if days (thank you, Andrea), good restaurant with good wines. And Sils is probably the best village for Engadin (Pontresina comes 2nd) - less new-build than others, it has direct access to Corvatsch skiing which we found better than Corviglia, xcountry trails are in the village, there is diverse winter-hiking, the lake between Sils and Maloja is the most scenic in the valley.
