Reviewed By Tom CThe room was not vacuumed upon our arrival. Window was filthy. Grounds were real clean. Breakfast was adequate. Pool was good. Fitness center was closed. We tried and tried to get the maid to vacuum our room over the 5 days we stayed there with no success. We talked directly to the maid and to the manager who gave an answer that they only do certain cleaning tasks on certain days. The hallways and especially the stairs needed more vacuuming/cleaning. The manager was indifferent. She got all friendly with her regulars but was fake concerned with us. The elevator (we were on 3rd floor) was out a couple of times over our stay. This could be a decent property but it lacks maintenance and customer service.

Reviewed By hoochfamfunA little underwhelming…parts of it were cool, but overall just ok. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was more than this. Pros: Atlas V rocket was awesome! Tram tour was easy to board once you have a reservation. Cons: Online tickets I purchased didn’t read. Had to go to the desk. Tram reservations on the app, which are required, weren’t that easy to navigate. And we got there at 1140 and the red tram was already filled for the day. You can only reserve 1 tour at a time unless you go to the service desk and they will book you on a second. Beware if you’re planning on eating there. All the food court shuts down at 2pm, except a snack kiosk with really overpriced chips and stuff.

Decent property that needs to focus on the details
Reviewed By 1234texasOur out of town guests who we arranged to stay at the motel told us that the rooms are attractive and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The location is good. The price for theroom is very good. However, the staff KNEW there was a problem with the hot water system Friday night, but did nothing to get it resolved until the maintenance staff arrived Saturday morning! Sadly, they did NOT get it resolved for the morning showers! Such a failure is unconsciousable! Cold showers are not fun. Having third party backup for after hours support for all areas of critical functions--electrical, phones, water, HAV, security, and lighting is Hotel Management 101. In addition, the breakfast was simply not up to any standards for a big hotel chain. Without management improvements in attention to detail, we will not use this property for future weekend overflow guests.

Terrible stay beware
Reviewed By andrholdTerrible service beware. Where do I start? First, we rented two rooms. One of the rooms had no shower curtain. My mother and stepfather stayed in this room. He is a disabled veteran and never received a shower curtain after asking for two nights. The last night it was asked, it was stated there were no curtains downstairs and that housekeeping had them, but were off for the night. This should have been passed onto the day shift. The we the handicap room are set up he could have easily slipped with his disability. There was no hand soap in either room. The amount of towels were incorrect for the amount of guests. Housekeeping was always hanging around the front desk during day shift. I took pictures to prove this. Also whoever was ask the check in desk was always on their phone, once again more pictures. One morning I was standing at the desk and no one ever came. I believe they must have been in a meeting, but then what is the purpose of security cameras if you are not using them. This leads me to believe anyone could come in and do something bad. Also the night shift person could have left the desk to go to housekeeping, because I saw her leave the desk at several points. After the team staff meeting, Several members came out and stated that the meeting was not professional. It was mentioned that I was standing at the desk by both of the ladies and how rude and unprofesdional that was. The ice machines were out the entire time we were there. The cleaning was poor. There was mildew on the ac/heater units, and also dust on the window seals. After mutiple attempts of calling IHG and waiting for a call back, I got a call and said my information would be passed along to the hotel. Of course no response. I also no that they probably had some code violations, and am going to report them for it. I have pictures of everything for proof.

This place is disgusting
Reviewed By ulthredofbThere is mold on the cieling. The indoor pool is small and the chairs have mold on them the bathrooms are gross with the tub being dirty. The rooms had no towels. The floors inside the rooms have stains on them. I have no idea where people are saying their stay was nice but this is and was a bad experience. Never again. I have pics if you want to see for yourself. The toys are molded and not clean.

Reviewed By rcgsxr600We travel a lot for work so finding a clean hotel at a decent rate with friendly staff in a great location is pretty hard to come by but the Kemah Edgewater Hotel met all those things. Located just minutes for Kemah Boardwalk you'll be able to enjoy all the fun and just up the road the opposite direction is NASA. Rooms were clean and the internet is the fastest we've came across in a hotel. We will definitely be staying here again.

I’ve stayed in many hotels all around the state of Texas, around the US and this one is BY FAR one of the worst managed hotels I’ve come across by. No idea how or why this nice looking building is ran by this Jennifer woman. They lie to customers, miscommunicate within themselves, make up wild stories about people who write bad reviews. My child had an event in kemah so we booked a room here. Called the front desk three days before check in young lady said everything is fine she said yes we can accommodate this and that. Sounds good by far. We get to the front desk on day of check in and behold the infamous blonde with black glasses Karen cannot fathom why or who told us we can do such thing. That her family, I’m guessing daughters, are the ones working here and she would not believe us at all. She called us liars. We were not yelling we were not rude, but when she literally called us liars she took this too far. We told her she was a joke and that we want our money back. She said she will call the cops after asking for our money back. Okay? We decided this altercation was immature and we wouldn’t want to show our children any more of this. No worries though we called booking and got our money back PLUS a free stay at the hotel adjacent to edge water. Edgewater uses booking/TripAdvisor etc. but when someone books from those pages, they detest these “types” of customers.
