River rafting company office a few paces away for your Arkansas River excitement. Fantastic way point for all of your outdoor activities. The Salida Inn is the perfect spot to rehab for your next days adventure or traveling Hwy 50.

A nice motel in a good location
Reviewed By Christopher DWe were greeted by a clean, fresh smell when first opening the door to our room. That's always a good start. The room was clean, nicely appointed and the beds were comfortable. The large screen TV was state of the art. Brown's Canyon is locally owned and very convenient to F Street which is the heart of downtown Salida. The only downside was no in room coffee service. But the serving bar was around the corner from our room and offered real coffee cups. There was a barking dog in a room that yapped at 6:30 am, but was quickly silenced. The rooms are subject to a lot of "running water" noise as it's an older facility when soundproofing was an after thought. We would stay here again.

Reviewed By Emily MWe stayed in the Velma and were really impressed by the attention to detail and cleanliness. Staff was really friendly and helpful, the lounge/lobby area was super cute and we appreciated the grab and go breakfast items. Definitely recommend! The vibe is super fun and funky.

The Woodland Motel in Salida, Colorado is the Only Motel in Salida that is Off Highway 50, the main truck route through town, and within Walking Distance of the Historical, Recreational, Culinary and Artistic Heart of Salida plus Trout Fishing in the Arkansas River. The Woodland Motel has been AAA Approved Two Diamonds for over 25 years without ever a single complaint. It was voted the Best Motel in 2010 and 2012 by the Best of Salida, received the Best Commercial Christmas Lighting Award for 2010 from the Mountain Mail and also received a Commercial Landscaping Award from the Salida Chamber of Commerce. The Woodland Motel has 18 Units including Singles, Doubles, Efficiencies and 1-2 bedroom Condos. All the Units have new 32" Flat Screen TVs. Nine have Full Kitchens with full-size appliances, kitchen table, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all the cooking utensils and pots and pans you might need, everything right down to the salt and pepper. Three other Units have refrigerators and microwaves. Five of the Units have Living Rooms with a sofa-trundle bed that turns into two regular twin-size beds. All the rooms have Free Wi-Fi in addition to Hard Wired Hi-Speed Cable. The rooms have new capped bedspreads, pillow shams and matching valences. Walls have framed photographs depicting local scenes. There is an Outdoor Spa with jets that go up and down your back and a Gas Barbeque Grill. In every Unit there is a Guest Guide that the Staff has compiled that describes everything to do within two hours of Salida. It also lists all the retail stores and restaurants with their hours and specialties. The Staff is happy to recommend things to do and places to eat depending on the guests' interests. They are also ready and willing to help with other needs such as medical, mechanical and more.

Rooms were clean and beds were so comfy The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us They made sure we were on the ground floor so we could have our motorcycles right outside our door After riding all day they recommended a very efficient taxi company a nice place to get a burger and a beer We enjoyed the hot tub after getting our bellies full and slept very peaceful

Reviewed By dkarmentaThe room was remodeled. The mattress was not as comfortable as I would have liked. A great amount of pillows. They could use a new brand of coffee for the in room coffee maker. Very weak, and I used less water. Very good, free breakfast options. Waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, very good pre-packaged pastries, fresh fruit, coffee and hot chocolate. I do not recommend the Mexican restaurant next door. I got 800 miles on my Alaska Airlines card for one night!

Reviewed By CTXfamilyIf you want to risk not actually having a room, this will be the perfect place for you to book. My family of 5 booked months in advance. Being familiar with Salida's tourism in the summer creating room shortages and higher prices, we planned way ahead. We're also a family of 5 that wanted to be in one room. HOURS before we were supposed to check-in, the hotel called and said they overbooked and we didn't have a room. They had a group book and didn't want to split the group up, so we got kicked out instead. Traveling can be stressful and we were pulled over on the side of the road for 2 hours so we wouldn't lose cell service, trying to figure out how to get a new hotel. It was completely unacceptable for them to call us hours before and say, whoops. We will never risk booking with them again.

I got a large room with a comfy king bed, large bathroom, large TV with lots of cable channels and HBO and got to park right in front of my door. The room is decorated a little better than the dormitory norm, and there’s a novel ice bucket and second sink outside the bathroom. Above all, it was quite clean I would stay again in a heartbeat.
