Reviewed By titi1840Marvellous hotel in a very quiet area in the north of Ibiza and next to the famous 'Los Enamorados' hotel. The service is excellent, very friendly staff, very good food, very nice and clean room! it's the 2nd time that we stay in Barcelo Portinatx and we will come back for sure!

Reviewed By 673cliffordjJust got back last night and I thought I’d write this review before life kicks in and don’t have time what a great place this is the staff are always helpful from the reception to the ladies that clean the room every day the bar lads perfect the size of the the place is huge plenty of places to chill food plentyful and fresh we went half board which was great but if we had known the layout of place definitely would have gone all inclusive you really don’t need to leave the hotel if don’t want to fab place and defo return probs with our granddaughters and rest of the family

A special mention must be made for Papise whose smile and can do attitude was outstanding. The beach is very nice and the snorkelling is amazing, fish everywhere. The food was very good indeed and our junior suite was as good as we had hoped for. Only been home 10 hours and already booked for next year.

Reviewed By AKA1989Could ony manage to escape for 4 nights this time but so glad to be back and already checking dates and flights for next time. Asap! Arrived just before noon and were lucky enough that our room was ready. Greater with a big smile by Toñi reception manager, who had us checked in, in no time and later by Leona, the other receptionist/reservationist and then by Loli housekeeper who again gave us the warmest of welcome back! Our room was immaculately clean. We opt for a pool view room, much cooler in the afternoon and evenings. Hotel is set right on the beach and Seaview are available but you get this at the restaurant and beach bar so not on our list of priorities for the room. Room had 2 single beds pushed together, bedside cabinets with side and reading lights. large open wardrobe, ample shelving, a safe and fridge. A hot beverage tray on a unit with large mirror over with hairdryer and chair. Neat shower room with large walk in shower. Patio with table and chairs. Aircon/heating. Meal times excellent. Lovely breakfast everything you could wish for, hot or cold and there is lovely Loli again taking care of everyone. Evening meal is a buffet. A different soup and special daily, a hot and cold buffet. All sorts of food available with the addition of tasty chinese this year! With attentive friendly service from Natalie and Betty. All the owners and staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful. Then a desserts cabinet and ice-cream freezer. You can swap evening meal to a-la carte in the afternoons if you give notice in the morning or evening before. Reception and restaurant are up a set of stairs from the beach but from there there is lift access to all floors. However the beach bar is on ground level open from noon till late serving cold drinks, cocktails and a very good snack menu. You can even charge your food and drinks to your room so you don't have to carry cash for your day on the beach! (But don't forget to tip the staff, they are great there too!) Family owned and run hotel, very hands on helped along by the amazing team! Customers return year after year to this small and friendly spot on a beautiful beach, in a quiet resort perfect for young families and couples.

Brekfast was a joke, cleaning services are non existing, the bedroom has almost no light, toilet inside the shower... Positive point: THE FOOD! Really good!

Reviewed By CiaraNev19Arrived on 7th April 22 Apartment was baltic, we asked could they fix it and was told we had to pay for air con. We explained we didnt want air con but that the room was freezing and something had to be fixed. Nothing was done , it was 20⁰ outside, the apartment was frozen we were putting on extra layers and wrapping ourselves in blankets. Someone came to fix the toilet but it still kept leaking. Went to go sleep only to hear the front door open with the wind and realise theres no way of locking it from inside and we had to put a chair against the door (which due to the wind, didnt work). Felt so uncomfortable staying in a place with no locks on any of the doors. The rooms are small and old fasioned but the bedroom by the front door had two tiny windows covered by curtains. It couldn't have felt any more claustrophobic. Barely anyone had a word of English which made communicating near impossible aswell as trying to order food. Wouldn't recommend the area to tourists or the apartment at all to anyone!!! And thats by day 1 alone. Personally felt anxious and drained the whole stay, would never return or recommend to anyone. You would get a better experience at home altogether. Two days left, the two toilets are still leaking, the fire alarm goes off every time we cook even with the balcony doors open and the fan on. Ants all over one of the bathrooms floor. Then the two bathroom floors Never stay again even if it was all paid for . Would NOT recommend!!

Reviewed By Crunch1eJust coming to the end of our weeks stay here. Have enjoyed no noise (just the lapping of the sea on the rocks) and very clean. Very close to the beach.The apartments are cleaned every other day. Adequate facilities (no oven) as we don’t cook on holiday! (If you’re wanting a double bedded room, choose the 2nd floor...we’re told 1st floor accommodates 2 x singles, which can be pushed together) These apartments were recommended to us by friends and quite rightly so. Air con as well as a ceiling fan, if there is a down side, it would be lack of sun on the balcony, but in the height of summer, this probably would be most welcome! We’ve had a thoroughly good week staying here and certainly would recommend this accommodation.

Great Holiday
Reviewed By Sarah MWe visited in October 2014 for a week and we were really pleased with this little gem of a hotel. We got a last minute all inclusive deal and were a little bit wary when reading other reviews. I would say go with an open mind. It's a lovely, quiet little resort and if you're looking for a chill out holiday then this is the place! Portinatx is a beautliful place with the most stunning beaches. The water is crystal clear and remains shallow a good distance out. It was quiet when we were there but the weather was lovely and it was a real treat to have the beach pretty much to ourselves. It is a quiet resort so bear that in mind. Not the place to go if you're looking for a party holiday. That said, there are a couple of really nice bars on the walkway around the beach coves. The Voodoo Lounge is a really nice place to sit overlooking the bay with a cold beer or a cocktail. We took an visit to San Antonio and took a boat ride out to watch the sunset which was lovely. It was good to see other parts of the island though the hustle and bustle of San Antonio made me really happy to get back to the peace of Portinatx. The hotel itself surpassed our expectations. The variety of drinks available through the all inclusive was great. For a three star resort the food was fantastic. You could have freshly cooked omelettes and eggs at breakfast and at lunch and dinner the chefs would cook fresh meat/fish. Our room was relatively basic but it was clean and had everything we needed as we were only using it as a base for sleeping in. The bathrooms were lovely and looked recently refurbished. The hotel grounds are compact but well kept and the pool area was great for lounging by with a book and a drink. The bar area was very inviting with a lovely terrace. There was entertainment provided twice during our week long stay but we didn't watch so I can't comment on it. The people working in the hotel were very efficient if not overly friendly. The girls working in the dining room ensure the place was kept running smoothly. We never had to wait for any meal service but that may be partly due to when we stayed (first week in Oct). Overall, we were more than happy with our stay and would gladly visit Portinatx again in the future as it remains one of the most beautiful places we have seen.

Reviewed By Rachel TThank you to Maria and her team for another seamless stay. We came back this year but with more family in tow, so three apartments were needed. Booking was easy and totally hassle free, communication was easy through email before our arrival. Our stay was lovely (even with the thunder and lightning storms! Great to watch from the top floor apartments though!) Thank you to our cleaner who is very attentive!! It is a shame the beautiful bay is being turned into an adult only all inclusive resort as it is a fantastic place for families. I hope people keep supporting the apartments and local restaurants.
