The description for the property also states in one of the paragraphs that it is a Country inn and suites which is obiviously incorrect.

Reviewed By DarylC147This was my second visit in 6 weeks at HIE-OxAnn. Room 321 did not disappoint. Very clean lobby, room, and property. The staff was VERY friendly as expected. There are plenty of food and shopping within walking distance or a short drive. The breakfast was typical HIE fare. Please bring back daily room cleaning. Otherwise, no complaints, will be back. This is the perfect location if you are in town for a JSU game!

Reviewed By nhlupineWe had a pleasant two night stay here while visiting Talladega Speedway for the Nascar Racing Experience. The staff were all friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. We even did our laundry, although it's kind of funny that the washer and dryer are outside! Nevertheless, they worked well! There are a lot of restaurants nearby, several of which one could walk to if so inclined, and many more within a short drive. Convenient to the interstate as well.

The hotel has a fitness center and serves a hot, full breakfast every morning. I come to Oxford on business regularly, and have stayed at several of the hotels in this area. This one is my favorite for cleanliness, available amenities, and customer service. Oh- I real bonus for me was the option to stream Netflix and other streaming platforms on the tv in the room! It logs you out when you turn it off. Great place!

The top cover was dirty and I requested a new bedding. After dropping the clean linen outside on the ground she then said “I ask the other girl did the top cover needed changing and she said no.” Okay….so I am like excuse me!!!!! So you don’t change the top covers!!!! She answered NO!! If it’s not dirty. I’m like ready to go now and not later!!!! One thing after the next they change it with fresh ones for both rooms. But I agreed to make the bed up myself. WHY!!!!! Urine Stains in the bed. Don’t know what it looks like on the opposite, they flip the mattress. After it rained the water leaked in the bathroom from the ceiling. All I’m going to say is this is NOT A PLACE FOR FAMILY MAYBE A ONE NIGHT STAND, if that’s your cup of tea… Light flickers Mold Died bugs Dirty towels Dirty linen Dirty just dirty Long story short look at the pictures and we turned in the keys ASAP!!!!

Older motel, but has been remodeled at some point.Our 2nd floor room was clean, but had an..."unusual" smell upon entry. Not horrible...just...odd. We desensitized pretty quickly. Beds were quite comfortable, and breakfast was very adequate; a nice assortment of choices. We will keep this one on our list of good locations. Thank you.
