Thoroughly disappointed

I give only two stars for this “five star” hotel. Nothing on Propety - nothing you can do even if you wanted to chill No pool No shampoo/conditioner No security box No windows - dark/stuffy No mini bar Old, run down furniture that’s not antique Dust on cups, spider webs, bug poop on robe Restaurant - Waiter didn’t tell us there was a course menu, no cheese to go with wine, poor attention, poor wine list, risotto was on the stove for way too long and therefore very salty, suckling pig was probably the best dish out of everything but still not impressive.

Good and bad

Reviewed By Orracle51

Nice spacious rooms, very attractive. Mattress was the most comfortable I have had in Spain! Within walking distance of a nice park, restaurants and stores. But no USB ports and the bath area is strange, The shower opens right into an open area—no privacy. Told them about a bulb that burned out in the separate toilet stall and nothing was done by the time we left. It was a little noisier than I expected for such a nice hotel. I could hear neighbors and hall noises.

Vow , beautiful building , ultra modern , very quiet ... fantastic building with great views. the lift is funny , you have to tell on the outside where you want to go , so it feels weird standing in there without any buttons ... but saying that fabulous place , again i was leaving early before breakfast was served, the concierge very kindly put a few things for me in the bag for my train journey to Madrid

Good Central Location and Friendly Receptionists

First stay for two nights. Room 305 is compact with fridge, wardrobe, user friendly safety box, good shower and toiletries. The hotel is surrounded with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops on the street infront, which will also take you all the way to the train station. The old town is a few hundred yards (turn left) when you leave the hotel. There are no out spaces. Oviedo is a beautiful city and easy to walk around if not for the wet weather. There's only one lift and it's not the fastest and an absolute pain during breakfast time. I walked down normally! Yes, still is a good place to stay.

The hotel is not in the best location. It is quite a walk to the center of the city. The hotel itself is good with good breakfast and a very good coffee shop within the building. The service was great both at reception and the breakfast room. The coffee shop had good food as well as tea and coffee at good prices. Good value for money.

Nice hotel

Reviewed By Boshy15471

We stayed for 4 days, a very comfortable hotel, great location if you like sport ( nice 5km run from hotel), super staff and nice food at the restaurant. we didn't stay all inclusive and so paid as we went for spa and pool. Spa was lovely, great facilities and nice experience. For the pool we were disappointed on two fronts. 1: there was no water available to drink. If you go make sure you take plenty 2: you can't leave and come back without paying again. So if you want to grab lunch in the restaurant or indeed just grab some water, you have to pay to come back in. Seemed a bit short sighted as we would have gone and spent money on lunch with them had we been allowed out. Lastly they need to reduce the amount of single use plastic bottles, suggest reusable glass in the rooms. However with these niggles, would recommend staying there and hope to do so again

5tars with rooms more like 3

Reviewed By luis_villa_q

Beautiful building, salons and art, had a very good buffet breakfast and staff was very helpful and nice. But for a 5 star hotels the room was disappointing. Bed was comfortable but the bathroom needed an upgrade> had a less than average showerhead that will not sit in the shower stand and the shower partition leaked. The windows in the room did not closed properly, I understand that it is an historic building but surely something can be done to improve noise control. Nice hotel but not a 5 star just by room standards.
