Great Hotel and Location

Such a great Hotel! Location is amazing and staff was very friendly. Stayed in the cottages by water and surpassed any expectations. Would definitely stay here again. One small thing would be to have more food options for onsite.

Beautiful Nature Views of the Mountains & Trees / Could use some TLC in customer service improvements

Check in wasn't very smooth. There was an issue with my reservation dates and seemed to be too much for the check in staff to handle. Had to return later to involve a manager to resolve. I was told I could return as often as I'd like to obtain the small bottles of water, however on one particular day again seemed like it was too much for the front desk staff to handle like it was a bother for them. Had inquired with concierge about the schedule of activities that were on a calendar of events at the resort that was provided to us upon check in because it would indicate times but not locations, however the concierge wasn't even aware of the schedule so had no idea of the activities or their locations so we never did find Bingo. Was always wondering if the other things were going on. Upon check out there was an issue with my bill as far as inappropriate/inaccurate charges, however again was too much for the front desk to handle and they requested that I email and or call back later to discuss to resolve. I have since emailed and am still awaiting resolution. Highly recommend some serious training in customer service for front desk personnel and or have a manager on site out front that knows what they are doing to assist with these issues. We were only there for 3-nights/4-days and although it did rain the first day we still enjoyed as much as we could of all of the resort's and local area amenities going to the pool/jacuzzi, going hiking and biking, eating at all of the restaurants on site, and most importantly the best experience spending an afternoon at the spa. Was disappointed that the the pool side bar and restaurants were not open very often or very long. Was disappointed that the coffee shop was closed down for renovations. Was disappointed at the very high prices of the the restaurants at the resort. I understand the pool was supposed to be heated but it obviously was not. It was freezing cold. Spent most time in jacuzzi as did everyone else. Understand the water slide was supposed to be open certain hours of the day but was not and was later told could ask someone to open it up if we wanted to use it. It also appeared that there was a serious challenge with lack of staffing. For example we made a reservation at Six Peaks as we were directed to do saying they were booked so had to squeeze us in late, however when we arrived there that evening we appeared to be the only ones in the main dining area. The bartender was the hostess and the waitress.

Great service, good value

Reviewed By Mokelca

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of a 2.5 week long road trip through California's National/State Parks. Check in was super easy. Our room was very large with a couch and a fireplace. The room was really clean. It snowed the first night we were there, which wound up closing I-80 and several of the other roads in the area so we spent the whole day in the room as we didn't have chains or 4wd (rental car) and we actually enjoyed ourselves despite being stuck in. They also graciously told us we could have a late check out if we needed to on the day we left in case we wanted to leave later to due to road conditions. Breakfast was also pretty good. Pretty good value for the size of our room, and all of the staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel is located right on the lake with private beach. It offers a great view of the snow capped peaks and the large lake Tahoe. We had a two room cottage which had a kitchen with all appliances, crockery etc which offered flexibility to cook. A Safeway , bus stop is at a walking distance. They have a heated swimming pool. Great place to relax.

We definitely like this place. Clean, great vibe, great staff. We opened for a larger king room. It is very comfortable. Keep in mind, this place is not on the lake. It is across the street. And there are great restaurants walking distance. The lobby area has a nice hang area with 5 local taps. A nice touch. There are outdoor fire pits and indoor fire places to gather near. Tess and Jenny at the front desk were so helpful and had great recommendations on where to walk/hike and where to eat. We would recommend this place.
