Reviewed By Anthony WWe loved the resort so much we came back for another visit. We came with extended family, each with our own apartment. As expected the rooms were clean and presentable and fitted with quality inclusions and appliances. The balcony rooms offer great views of Port Stephens and access to the wild birds. The in-house restaurant (The Nelson Way) offers a great range of meals to suit most tastes and are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They even offer the meals as takeaway if you want to enjoy it in your room. Great option for getaways with rooms or room combinations to suit the number of guests in your party.

Excellent stay, good location
Reviewed By charleshughes1500We stayed at the Peninsula Motel as part of an anniversary visit to Nelson Bay. The one-bedroom suite was much more spacious than I had expected and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location, while quiet at night, was wiithin walking distance of the local RSL Club for dinner. We'll be back next time we visit the area.

Best place to stay after accident

Perfect ground floor level room, very comfortable bed, close to takeaways and cafes, great bathroom, very clean, staff helpful, great facilities, lovely window onto garden, really well priced and calming and reassuring to see the Buddha statue and water fountain at the entry. Thank you again, much appreciated :) Highly recommend!!!

Its door the security lock/chain missing - photo 4. Patio hard to slide - track corroded 5. No real air flow through unit - except via air conditioner 6. Kitchen, no sink, cupboard drawers broken & unusable - photo 7. Bathroom, sink tap leaks, cupboard broken, floor tiles broken & shower tray chipped 8. Bathroom again the flyscreen was so dirty that no air flow - photo 9. Wifi difficult to logon & warning says possible insecure access 10. Main room light switch part hidden by vertical cupboard Positives Bed was fair, Good TV & Good Microwave Overall for $120 per night I would never stay here again Sure businesses have been hit hard during Covid-19, but the faults here are years old

Disappointing room but great position
Reviewed By GreyhoundbusterWe were extremely disappointed with the size and cleanliness of our room 208. There were long black hairs on the white tile walls in the bathroom, coffee cups dirty and the television was impossible to watch unless you sat sideways on the end of the bed. Also the television had an old set top box and one of the remotes had flat batteries so took a while to realise it was the batteries not the old unfamiliar system. I did make a complaint and the housekeeping manager was very pleasant and had the room cleaned and rearranged (the robe would then only half open). We did look in other rooms when guests had left and they were open about to be cleaned and they were very nice. We were told rooms 208 and 101 were the smallest - do not book those rooms. The position of the Seabreeze Hotel is wonderful and the decor in the bar and very popular restaurant was really well done.

Marina Resort is a great place to stay to experience Port Stephens. Centrally located in the heart of beautiful Nelson Bay, this traditional, family friendly hotel has magnificent views over the local harbour. Marina Resort is conveniently located near all of Port Stephens' major tourist attractions. Dolphin/Whale Watch Cruises, Restaurants, Cafes and the scenic waterfront are all just a 5 minute stroll down the road. This recently refurbished 44 room hotel offers spacious comfort with great views of the bay, excellent evening dining in the 4th floor restaurant and a great hot/cold all-you-can eat buffet breakfast.
Short Break
Reviewed By nekitel01Room was on an elevated floor and had great views of the water. The manager and staff were exceptional and more that helpful. They stored our excess baggage when asked and I would recommend this stay to anyone. There is ample parking and it is short 5 minute walk to all shops and amenities.
