Reviewed By AkilahAs we arrived before our rooms were available, the staff was very helpful and facilitated that we could change out of our motorcycle clothes and freshen up before walking into town for lunch. The hotel is not in the city center (but within easy walking distance), which we appreciated highly, as it becomes very quiet in the evening. We had one room with a terrace overlooking the ocean and one room facing the back of the hotel. Nothing beats falling asleep listing to the waves. The room also had a small kitchen (including a fridge), which was very well appointed. There is a parking behind the hotel but we were able to park our motorcycles in the sister hotel's bicyclye garage - a word of caution though, this garage barely fit our 3 motorcycles, you wouldn't be able to fit 2 full dressers though.

Reviewed By Philei2001If you are looking for a tranquil place in one of the most gorgeous coastal areas in Europe, your search is over. Belle Ile en mer is the place to go if you want to meditate without meditation. It's the place where body and soul get calm just by breathing, sitting in the sun and watching the sea. The hotel is situated in a class A plus plus location, it's clean, well maintained, ha a s fantastic kitchen, friendly stuff and is not too expensive. You can hire bicycles and pedelecs at the hotel, the bus stops right next to the building and walking is a good option too, if you really want to learn this place. Leave your car in Quiberon, we did not this time and paid that ridiculous price of 340,- just for the car. Better invest that money in sea food, which is of course awesome over here. In addition: If you have children with you, go visit the high rope course, you will no be disappointed. It's one of the biggest I have ever seen, every challenging and demanding, take them step by step, from 1 to 5 (if you are really good you can do 5, we stopped after 4). It's completely shadowed, has lot's of creative parouring ideas and is fun all over the place. Golf: The golf course has 14 holes and is situated northwest of Sauzon. It's a challenging course with many blind tee shots. The greens we soso and the course maintenance level in general average too. Some magnificent views are guaranteed, but in my opinion it's not a must to play it as a golfer when you visit the island.

The impressive stature of our place makes it the centrepiece of Groix's marina, benefiting from a perfect location along the quays of Port Tudy, which was France's leading port of registry for the trade of albacore (longfin tuna) from 1870 to 1940.The ferry docks just 150 metres from our hotel but its location is far from being its only asset: you will be thrilled by the tranquillity and comfort of our rooms, the quality of our cuisine, with an array of seafood dishes available for our half-boarders, and the extraordinary view from our brasserie, “Les Garçons du Port”.

Reviewed By Glenys VThe location is perfect since it's right on the marina. They also were able to hold our large suitcase, containing our kayak, in the baggage holding area. It was nice not having to lug it up the stairs. The pool was lovely and so was the garden. Also, their restaurant was good and we had the best moules fritte ever. It was great to also enjoy the billiards table in the evening. However, the room was tiny and I feel we were given one of the worst rooms. There are also absolutely no hooks or anything where to dry your beach towels, let alone the towels from the room. There was just a small towel rack that could only take the hand towels since it was over the counter-top, any large towel you put on there would not dry because it would be too long and the bottom would sit on the counter. Since this is a beach location, we had swimwear and beach towels that we needed to dry every day and this was nearly impossible. We hung them off the curtain rods, but they would never fully dry. The sign about trying to economize on towels by hanging them up was ridiculous, since they were eternally wet. I suggest they add a ton of hooks and a drying rack to each room. Aside from this, the location was great and we enjoyed our stay, so I would recommend it.

Five lovely nights on Belle Ile
Reviewed By JudithN469We’ve just stayed 5 wonderful nights at this lovely quiet hotel. Run by Pierre, Benedicte and family it is everything you need for a peaceful getaway. The staff are all fantastic, friendly and efficient. The restaurant is superb. The cosy room very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely pool and gardens. Right by the bus stop so no need for a car and bike hire available too. We walked miles on the nearby coast path. For personal reasons we had a few sad days and we could not have been more supported and cared for by all staff but especially Pierre Benedicte snd Anna. Our first visit to the island and Pierre gave good advice about where to go and what to see. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By Jean-Paul BExceptionnal swimming pool which is unusual in France. generally good service everywhere, recepption very helpful, restaurant ok but sometimes cutlery not always very clean and we are not given any restaurant bill to check what we have eaten whilst the hotel bill prices at the end are quite difficult to understand as far as food and drinks are concerned.

Reviewed By Bill DWe have just left after our second stay here, and would love to return. It is, quite simply, the best of its kind (Hotel and Spa), we have stayed in. It is sumptuous without being presumptuous - As a warm , welcoming and generous, family-run, business, it provided everything we wanted (and more!). We love the location, away from the Carnac conurbation, it feels very safe - Similarly, the Covid safety precautions are excellent and gently, but firmly, enforced. From the generous, varied buffet breakfast, to the impeccable indoor s[a, outdoor pool and relaxing areas, the facilities are amazing. Everywhere is kept smart and clean. We choose the mini-suites which, for a stay of several days, are well worth the extra (Mini fridge, terrace, good sized room etc..) During the covid emergency, UK travellers who need help with Lat Flow testing and Passenger Locator Form printing will find Francois, both knowledgeable and very helpful. The only slight drawback is that the wifi can be temperamental - cutting out, at times.

Reviewed By FrankJ123After 4 nights at “another” local accommodation at which we were very uncomfortable my wife and I decided to move to this Hotel for the last 4 night of our holiday in Carnac. We found the hotel and room in general very comfortable all round, as it trades on the pools and therapy available it was a bit wasted on us as we didn’t use either, but it’s a great location and we will be back.
