The hotel was well located and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room itself was small but well appointed, with small fridge and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really good, there was something for all tastes and there were plenty of choices. To sum up: excellent location, near train station, not far from center of town, good price, nice personal

Fairly economical hotel

Reviewed By L0ll0A

Fairly economical hotel located on the side of the station; the rooms are small and not very well maintained and overlook the tracks. The hotel is not easy to reach because you can not get there in front with the car, it is true that the car park is not very far away but if you are loaded with bagli is certainly not comfortable. You get to the centre by walking about 15 minutes, through the station, at night the situation does not give idea of great security.

Excellent stay with a most unusual hotel

Reviewed By gramer999

We reserved a room with a view of the cathedral (just 100m away). So we were in an annex just 20 metres from the main hotel entrance. The one and only negative is that there was no lift, but everything else more than made up for this. Comfortable old-fashioned room, spotlessly clean. Toilet and bathroom ultra-modern. Extremely comfy bed. Staff who were intelligent and happy to help. Well done Hôtel de la Cathédrale. It was a pleasure staying with you, We'll be back.

Needs a serious renovation

Reviewed By Fabanddave75

This hotel looks great, and after 4 times in the past 2 months, I have to write this review to ask the owner to start the renovation. In 4 stays, I have experienced in 4 different rooms : 1- leaking toilets 2- windows without a view (you know these windows that do let you see throug) 3- no insonorisation 4- shower door blocked : yes, imagine you can not open the shower door at all! Even the maintenance guy could not understand how! The decoration has not been changed in a very very long time (carpets, doors, bathrooms etc...) The staff is really nice and helpful, and reactive. Bkfast is ok Overall for 90€/night in Metz, it is quite pricey.

Bad service

Reviewed By vancasteren2019

Because of the corona outbreak we could not travel or stay in this hotel, so we never went there. We tried to contact the hotel in advance by sending an e-mail twice on 16-03 and 18-03 in which we explained our situation. But until now we got no answer. We wanted to know whether we could get a refund for this reservation and our reservation in april. Then I contacted the customer support of the Louvre Hotels on 20-03 by telephone. They told me they would contact the hotel and then I would get an e-mail and refund. Since than everything has been silent. It's a sign of contempt for your regular customer not even sending an answer to an e-mail or not keeping your promise. Mrs. R. van Casteren
